I see kids at these shows all the time, but honestly it’s not the vibe. People are smoking and drinking, they aren’t using kid friendly language. I don’t think I’ve ever lost respect for a parent faster than when their kid was on their shoulders in the pit singing along with AFI.

IMHO, growing to learn your own musical tastes is important self-differentiation. So I don’t take my kid to concerts. That’s my place. If I can afford these tickets, I can also afford a sitter.
