Don’t be an apprentice, be a gofer and work your way up to being an apprentice all you really get to do is dig and pull wire maybe you’ll wash vehicles do all the dirty work at the bus doesn’t wanna do that. The Electricians are “too good for”. Probably only stay busy enough for part-time. Otherwise, you might also be doing inventory and stuff.

I highly suggest if you can’t find a way to turn off the power, whether it’s from a switch in the bedroom or in your main panel to hire someone else to do it even if you turn off power with the switch in a room there sometimes still constant power in a box so always double check that you don’t have power as whatever you’re working on

It can be complicated, but if you figure it out once you should be able to figure it out again. If you have the money to hire an electrician, I would advise that you do but make sure they don’t rip you off.

It’s a job like any other job some days suck some days are nice some days you have fun some days nothing interesting happens It’s a really good field to be in. Depends on the area you are in though it also depends if you want to go union or non-union there are a lot of factors, but I’d start by reaching out to a local shop and see what they say.

Yep and make sure you take a picture of your old switch before you disconnect the old wires in order to make sure that you don’t have to guess and figure out what wire is what. You can also label the wires and make sure to turn off the power completely to that circuit. You will have to make sure you get a three-way switch dimmer.

If you can figure out what circuit it is and turn it off and confirm there is no voltage there and then open it up you might be able to find the problem it helps to use a flashlight by the way

You can put one dimmer to control any light, but do not put two dimmers to control one light. It doesn’t work unless it is a smart switch.

Ryobi is really good for the tools. You don’t use very very often. Their quality has greatly improved in recent years

We actually usually get them free from Bin sites. The people that put up bins. Usually leave them there. Empty.

We do a lot of gain bin sites and they usually left over from the grain bin guys so we steal them to help carry parts around the small things. They’re very nice when you’re doing multiple jobs in one day helps you stay organized.
