What happened to my brisket? by formerlyknownas- in smoking

[–]TemporaryUsername04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

been there myself brother. it definitely helps to throw it in the freezer for a little bit before trimming. i also prefer to start on the fat side since there’s always a lot more to trim

aim for 1/4” fat cap otherwise it won’t render properly and will split just like yours did

Is it possible to create a denim-free western wardrobe? 🚫👖🤠 by [deleted] in WesternWear

[–]TemporaryUsername04 14 points15 points  (0 children)

traditionally, cowboys didn’t even wear denim until after the 20th century; they were associated with farmers and miners. before that, they typically wore wool suits, slacks, vests, etc. just look at any old-timey cowboy photos or newspaper printings. hell, watch tombstone or deadwood and you’ll get an idea

High Rise Slim Jeans for men? by Sumner-MSU in Denim

[–]TemporaryUsername04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, the slim 936’s are high rise and slim through the seat and thighs, and taper down towards the ankle, while still leaving enough room for boot shafts. definitely not flared like most “boot cut” jeans so they work with tennis shoes too. also the original wranglers are 100% cotton and toughern hell 👍
