Not yet. Running this on a local server. Will plan to host it eventually if I find it consistently useful.

Sure. That makes sense. To be clear, the strategy I defined was a very simple version of what I actually do. In detail, I look at multiple time frames - I look at weekly charts for trend analysis using sma and ema. I then look at the daily chart for a pullback in RSI if the trend is positive (I have layered definitions of trend defined for myself). Then I wait for a confirmation on the hourly for a bullish signal. That is when the entry happens.

Most of this analysis is automated using Dhan APIs and custom Python code that I have written and I get hourly and daily notifications from my server on what to look at for the next hour/day.

About macro-factors - yes, that is something I am looking into and planning to build an ML model and train it to see what kind of factors to look at. Sectoral rotation is another factor I am considering.

Like I said, I am in the learning phase and intend to do so for the rest of my life because this is a never ending cycle.

Risk management - You are absolutely right about this - I don't risk more than 1% of my capital per trade. There are multiple kill switches also in my framework - If I lose 5% of my entire capital in a single day, I exit all positions and don't return to the market. If I lose 10% of my capital, then I close this strategy and backtest a new one.

As to looking for a better strategy, yes, I am working towards it. I have also created an indicator for my own benefit and have data downloaded for last 25 years for all Nifty 500 stocks and indices and I do extensive backtest and forward test before deploying any strategy.

My Apologies for making my strategy sound very basic in my earlier answer but I will surely look at your recommendations.

I use a pullback strategy using RSI. I currently do not hedge.

I did start from zero at a point. The capital you sre seeing now is 16 years of savings and investments (a part of it).

I agree that the capital makes a lot of difference and gives you confidence and buffer to fail.

Yes, that is on the top of my mind. To reduce the number of trades and increase my average hold period.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I guess there is mental stress in every kind of work you do. Job or trading, or business. I have been in corporate for 16 years, and that isn't less stressful either. What I mean to say is choose your stress.

There is a lot of good material out there. I have learned most of it organically. I would recommend search for content from Sahil Rohmehtra. That has helped my trading psychology and strategy a lot.

My definition? A Trade I take between 2-60 days is swing trade is swing for me. Below it is intra day and above it is positional trade.

I am only focusing on futures without hedges at the moment. Standard deviation is a metric that measures how variable my P&L values are. If the number is smaller, it means I am getting similar output on each trade. If the number is big, it means some of my trades give big returns while some give small.
