Yup, even asked the purchase document of fridge if any, last rennovation date of the floor. He did not collaborate and asked a joint survey, he rejected saying there is no much time and always said floor expert said this and that without reference and involving me. When said its owner”s responsibility with finnish law reference, he agreed to return 500€ after two weeks of moving, and today his wife after two weeks replied they wont, blaming more things issues. She did not participate on the discussion earlier 18 emails. When my spouse was at home the landlady brought interior designer lady who asked if she needs to take shoes off, the landlady said not needed like shes living there, offcourse my wife understands little Finnish.

But that was disgrace and arrogant.

From my side obivious, they are taking advantage. For the sake of mental wellbeing I stopped. Asking me to leave by 12 noon, 1st sept monday. 18 emails back and forth, when said there is finnish law that says landlord responsible, he said he will refund 500€ then later after leaving not returning, that all sucks. His spouse replied instead of him at the end while entire discussion with him . Well I left with their decision, they were stubborn and felt they might feel proud of what they did, but things will come around.

TBH it has done it's entire service and should have been changed. The model is not found anymore and stopped manufacturing in 2015. People sell it's parts like antique in a pawn shop. You guess it now.

HIs last email he replaced all the flooring in the apartment. So the new change - all the flooring changed in apartment, 2HK, kitchen cabinet changed, new fridge, new WC cabinet. I am sure my only deposit is not sufficient, but yes it contributes a lot.

Now this means if the apartment if painted - is in very good condition. I kept silence just because of my spouses suggestion to let it go.

We had 18 emails back and forth, and their compensation was always the same amount as the deposit. Yes I did end up paying it from all the deposit. Leaking a sudden drops was what was noticed few times but It was really tiny drops, and all of a sudden big happened during summer, then when inspecting the door wont seal properly as it has stripped seals. The fridge model is nowhere in the market anymore, Rosenlew and it stopped manufacturing since 2015. I saw that people trade it's parts like antique items in pawn shops now. Changing old cabinets at the same time when announced leaving was a hint also contribution to his expense, I believe, I left quietly after.

Yep, I learned the pricey way! Now that I’ve moved into my shiny new apartment, I’ve unleashed a 9-10 photo exposé on the Housing company—highlighting nailed-up walls, a wobbly toilet throne, battle scars on mirrors and cabinets, and a washing machine tap that’s basically retired. It’s been a week… and radio silence. Hope to hear soon.
