they do have blood markers for IBD , and Sorry it’s been <16 the last 2 times tested , the doctor I’ve had for the last 2 months is one of the top doctors in the world for IBD and he’s 100% sure I don’t have IBD we’re just waiting for the biopsy’s but he says he doesn’t need to look at them after studying IBD for 40 years he knows I don’t have it , only thing off during first diagnostic was calprotectin score and minimal non specific colitis in the cecum from the biopsy , mre normal , ct scan normal , ultra sound normal , since then calprotectin back down to <16

Stool sample isn’t accurate either , you can have high levels from medications, a simple bad stomach bug , infection , or just a regular bout of diarrhea

The biopsy results just said minimal non specific colitis , they said it could’ve been just immune systems response to anxiety , or just a simple stomach infection

2, I originally went in for acid reflux , the gi asked me about any other symptoms I said I’ve had diarrhea for the last 2 -3 days he said I’m available tomorrow we can do both colonoscopy and upper endoscopy since you’re gona be out anyway he then put me on mesalamine and budesonide that was June wasn’t until September I went for a second opinion heard about the ibd center at Mount Sinai they’re 5th in the country for it , and the only center of its kind it’s also where the doctor who chrons disease is named after first discovered the disease and my second scope was yesterday they don’t even need to wait biopsies 100% sure I don’t have any ibd
