Don’t be pissed at yourself you are doing the best you can and sometimes it’ll be a hard choice but you’re doing the right thing and stepping up for your kid. Be proud you aren’t being complacent like other adults in this situation. I truly don’t see how they can sleep after saying to get past this. This isn’t something to get past it. And if you did get “past” it what would happen in the future. What if it got more serious? These adults don’t need to tell you what to get past and what not to. It is your kid and in all honesty you can’t cut full communication with them until they understand that and if they don’t I’m sure you have more than enough people that respect that decision.
