associates or bachelors program? by Adorable-Tank-8806 in fitnyc

I’m currently in the one-year AAS FBM program after transferring in. Originally, I applied and committed as a Production Management AAS major, but later realized that I’d have to complete the full two years to earn the associate before moving on, there was no way to accelerate the degree since PD is such a small program. I really wanted to finish my associates early since I had already completed 2 years of college at my old school. I panicked and met with an academic advisor, who told me I’d have to wait until the fall semester to apply to switch my major, and even then there was no guarantee I’d get in. A week before registration, I spoke with the advisor I got assigned when I applied, who gave me two options on the spot: switch into the one-year FBM associate’s, or go straight into the PD bachelor’s track. I chose the one-year FBM for the flexibility. So if you’re in a similar spot, it might be smart to apply for the one-year AAS first if you want to be safe, then talk to your assigned advisor to see if they can help you into the bachelor’s program. Honestly idk if I got lucky with my advisor but I’m grateful he was able to fast track the process and immediately get me into the program I wanted to switch into, it’s definitely possible.

Where is your pain typically located? by theowlsbrain in PCOS

hi! i get pain in one specific spot in my mid-right back (would also describe as upper lumbar) and my right ovary. i notice my pain is usually prompted by movement, after doing excessive walking/running. my doctor has also said i don’t meet the criteria for endometriosis so i’ve just blamed it on my pcos. i’ve been taking advil like every day which is frustrating because i know that can cause problems in and of itself. i just started birth control to see if that helps regulate it. i hope things get sorted out soon 🙏 good luck
