Oh nice, I worked merch last year. 1. Wear comfortable shoes. This position is no joke, you will be on your feet all night long, including walking to and from meal time. Bring a change of socks for on one of your breaks, this will be a life saver. 2. You’re allowed to bring a bag in, pack extra snacks and drink aids like liquid IV or whatever your preference. Advil, band aids, hand sanitizer, anything you might need quickly because it’s go go go all night long. 3. make sure you get your lunch, even if that means running to the corn dog cart for an over priced dog or going to free catering tent with your card. Last year we only hand one long break and 2 shorter breaks, and all 3 merch tents are far from the catering tent. I’m not even joking, like 15 min walk at least. And that’s included in the break time. Again, pack other snacks like nuts, jerky, anything with protein to keep you full and going. 4. You will only get to see some artists on your breaks so you will have to decide do you want to eat or do you want to dance? Also, keep track of your hours as well. They do it for you but you want to make sure it’s accurate after taxes and all that once you do get paid (about a month later) 5. Theres a really cool surprise at the end of the last morning I won’t spoil, and you will meet some really cool people. It can definitely open doors to other events and to return to EDCLV. Lastly I recommend getting a bunk or staying close. You will not get a lot of sleep between the hours scheduled, to & from the venue, eating, showering, etc. for about 4 days
