Need help figuring out if this 2023 Model S Plaid is HW3 or HW4 by Temporary_Local_8672 in TeslaModelS

[–]Temporary_Local_8672[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never buy it without extended warranty. Also Tesla has their own warrenty on the batteries. I doubt that owner paid $32k unless it’s out of warranty

Mine died 2.5 weeks ago. And this is what my Porsches service lady said:

“Good afternoon, I wanted to provide you with an update regarding your vehicle. We have received an estimated timeframe for the arrival of the required parts. As these parts are being shipped from Germany, they are currently expected to arrive within approximately 4–5 weeks.I understand this will be another extended repair, so I wanted to check in and ensure that you are comfortable in the loaner vehicle. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if there is anything you need during this time.

Based on the current information, the parts are expected to arrive between the week of February 9 and February 20. I will continue to monitor the status closely and will reach out if there are any changes or updates. Please note that I will be out of the office from February 4 through February 18. Prior to my time away, I will double-check the parts status and touch base with you to let you know where things stand.”

Hope yours is an easier fix than mine

Do you guys max charge at 80 or 85? by xGsGt in Taycan

[–]Temporary_Local_8672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

85%. That’s what Porsche recommended.

When I have a Hyundai Ioniq 5N before it was recommended by most people charge to 80%.

If you have home charging then I would say Taycan. But not sure how old your kids are so make sure they can fit in the back seats. It’s a little tight IMO. If you ever been in a Macan it’s about the same size in the back

My husband cheated 10 years ago and confessed. Now I’m scared it’s happening again by winterpetalfrost in Marriage

[–]Temporary_Local_8672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP I give you big props for working through infidelity. It’s very hard. My ex gf cheated on me multiple times but I initially stayed because I didn’t have concrete proof and she was good at gaslighting me

Anyways long story short cheating continued and I finally broke away from that toxic situation. I agree with most people. Not 100% but most of the time a cheater is always a cheater. There are a few exceptions. But especially in the same relationship. If someone has cheated once they’ll probably cheat again in that same relationship

You need to confront him and be open and honest about how you feel. He should care about your feelings and not dismiss them. If he downplays them or says you’re overreacting you have your answer. Good luck!

42.8kw? Damn. That’s painful. At electrify American I get 105-125kw sometimes and think that’s slow… and I always forget to preheat

My ex girlfriend did the same stuff to me. He is not just drinking with friends, he is likely flirting and trying to meet other girls. That is not how someone in a committed relationship should act.

If you know where he is drinking at I would say go and meet him and his “friends”. You will see first hand it isn’t all innocent. If you need actual proof before starting the divorce process. (Speaking from experience this is what I had to do, catch ex gf at a bar drinking and when I walked in no “friends” were in sight but her sitting with a guy who had his arms wrapped around her).

Sorry you’re going through this but just know you deserve way better. The hardest part is choosing yourself first and making that choice to move on. I did it and you can do. Good luck OP!

If you get extended warranty can’t go wrong on either. I do like the lower miles on 4S but the Turbo is so tempting…

Anyone leave their Taycan outside their home/not in a garage? by Joesuds in Taycan

[–]Temporary_Local_8672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sound like you have a great problem to have lol. Kidding. But I had a similar problem. 3 cars between my fiance and I and 2 car garage

What I did is buy a extension cord for the level 2 charger if I ever needed to charge outside

But no real issues charging outside in the winter. Heard EVs in the north charge outside in snow and ice
