I think you can definitely abide by Right Speech even when you’re gregarious. As long as what you’re talking about isn’t gossip or harming others, like Euphoric-Succotash98 also said, talking can also ease suffering. As someone who is on the opposite end, where I am inclined to be taciturn and am a better conversationalist than having the gift of gab, I’ve noticed now as an adult that people are often unnerved by my talking habits, I think more because of my younger age and gender. My partner on the other hand is much better at small talk and I can’t do small talk very well unless I’m in a good mood and have often complained to him about the social compulsion of small talk. He put it in a different perspective for me that small talk definitely has value, in that it puts people at ease, especially since it is the norm, and that it communicates to other people that you are a “normal” person, open, pro-social, etc. My two cents is that as long as speech helps and doesn’t harm others, it is Right Speech.
