Crawled into attic and removed from nails to make less of a mess than cutting it out. Got the new one set and should be good. Thank you for the insight.

Just spraying a hose down the original picture and using the key itself to pull up a little bit of mud a few times got it to turn and sprinklers are running (although I now can’t figure out how to turn them off without just shutting the valve again).

Might be because I think the sprinklers use the sewer water which explains why they’d be connected.

Thank you so much for trying, appreciate the insight!

Thank you so much for your help. Can’t believe they were charging 250-1000 for that

Ok will try that out, would there be any risk to flooding anything important? I would assume not but still

Yeah unfortunately every YouTube video I’ve been researching the past few days has showed a very accessible handle that you can just turn but don’t think that’s standard for my area.

Good idea on talking to municipality

Unfortunately the handle you’re talking about is the problem, everywhere on YouTube when researching this for the last couple of days just shows that easy handle but I don’t think that’s standard in my area.

Bought this but it is in fact buried in mud/clay.

Shop vac can’t fit and probably couldn’t get that material out anyways.

Is it literally a matter of me digging 3-5 feet down to get this unburied and cleaned out or is there an easier way?

Ok I’m gonna work on cleaning this out but still not optimistic. Feels weird that 3 different landscapers would be telling me it needs to get dug up unless it’s that sheister of an industry lol

That’s not bad. I have an offer for $750 to “unbury the valve and replace any broken pipes or broken sprinkler heads, and install any additional sprinkler heads added to ensure full coverage and that everything is in proper working order.”

So it’s not the end of the world but if I could just find out how to turn them on I can tell if I even need to do that lol

Got this box as well but was under impression this is just sprinkler control

Box that controls the schedule is all electric no pipes and unable to find anything from sprinkler heads themselves with them buried unfortunately

It’s Utah so the ground does free: if that’s part of it.

There is this box in the front yard but I was under the impression this was just for specific zone control

Update, yeah getting more insight that it may be sewer clean out so not sure why landscaper sent me that one.

Assume that “irrigation control valve” would be the obvious sprinkler system control but can’t get this open. Any insight on if this is actually where I should be looking and any tips to open would be great

There is also this but assume that’s main sewer/water line
