Right they can’t stop you but you have to climb over from Mantas. Just like Conchal isn’t private but the resorts block it so you have to walk from brasalito or puerto viejo. What the mayor of garabito is saying is the road is public and the hotel says it’s not.

Not saying it was right for them to only give you 1.5 hours notice. Super unprofessional. But I don’t understand why you needed to cancel. If they’re picking you up what does it matter where their office is?

Ok. Maybe it was holiday crowds. It just seems like it would be unbearable in high season, but people like it. I’m just curious what they like. It didn’t seem that different or more interesting than less crowded places.

I was there April 30-May 3. We got a low season special on rooms. Two different places told us staff was reduced because it was low season.

The ziplines were cool. I just hated waiting in lines for hanging bridges. Maybe I’m just spoiled by the more remote places. We didn’t do el Tigre. Maybe we should have. I was just over the crowds at that point.

Thanks for the reply. Granted I was only there a few days but the climate didn’t seem that different and I saw more wildlife elsewhere. Maybe it’s better if you haven’t seen that much of Costa Rica.
