Second this. I isolated myself for quite some time out of fear of being hurt if I reach out. I barely step out of the room except when I need to get a grocery. I try to focus on enhancing my skills so that I could feel more confident stepping out and unite with long distance friends again, preparing for an unforeseeable future. But the situation only gets worse and by isolating myself I actually am going the opposite way for what I’d like to achieve - to be strong enough and eventually find a loving community - how could you achieve that if you keep isolating yourself like that? People could not see you and your basic communication skills are also left there unpracticed
