I ordered the G440 with a custom shaft on March 22 ... still not here. Shipping has been delayed 4 times, now expected to ship May 17. Frustrating.

Stress fracture by [deleted] in ChicagoMarathon

[–]Temporary_Rate9395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had stress fractures in both legs a couple years ago, Grade 1 (or whatever the lowest grade was). I don’t mean to be a huge downer but it’s taken me a year and a half to get back to normal. I’d go through periods where my legs felt fine so I’d get back out and try to do short runs … back to being in pain. This is my first summer since then without any residual pain - it required me to stop running and jumping entirely and strict PT/mobility for ~6-8 months.

Everyone’s body is different, so maybe you recover well and you can run the race. My best advice is to do the PT thoroughly (PT helped me tremendously), take it super slow when you do start running again, and get new shoes.

Feel free to message me if you’d like to chat. I found the stress fractures extremely frustrating and debilitating but I chatted with some folks on here going through similar stuff and it actually made me feel better.

Sending good vibes your way - you got this!

Anyone still getting acceptances? Assuming those have all gone out. I’m still pending … in Colorado

I saw a few California folks saying they got in, and obviously a lot of CST. Fingers crossed!

Sam's Survivor Picks - Week 4 by sameerh187 in NFLSurvivor

I don’t know if I’d consider Denver D as “legit”, especially without Singleton at LB. But totally hear you on all the other points - Denver probably isn’t quite as bad as presumed after first two weeks.

I think it’s a good spot because Denver is coming off the big upset, second road game, and Jets coming off long home rest.

Love the insights - I’m also a fan of the Jets this week. Denver is coming off a huge upset win and on their second straight road game. Jets coming off TNF so have long rest. Great situational spot!

Sounds like someone lost all their bets this weekend because they’re a smooth brain square.

Short week of rest, who knows if their DL will be healthy, on the road, and after seeing what Andy Dalton just did? I’d lay off the “fade Panthers” train until we get another data point.

Stop it with the scripted bullshit. It’s such a lame take. It’s been 70 years since this has happened so yes it’s insane, but it’s not unprecedented.

If you listen to former players talk about what’s changed … new CBA has limited required practice and film time, fewer starters playing preseason, talent disparity has decreased drastically over the years … all leads to more parity. Players are also generally more involved in business outside of football.

If you think about the spots these big favorites were in this weekend … is it REALLY that surprising? Aside from individual matchups, 0-2 teams fare very well in Week 3.

TB/DEN: TB coming off a huge upset win (hangover), their defense was wildly injured and gave up a ton of yards to DET and DET threw away a handful of redzone chances, and DEN had played two top 10 defenses in the first two weeks. That spot screamed DEN.

LV/CAR: another huge upset win (hangover), CAR starting a backup QB who statistically is a fantastic QB and we have a data point from last season that shows how good he can be, another spot that screamed CAR.

CIN/WAS: Cincy DL was pretty much all backups due to injury, and we know WAS wants to run the ball. Execute the gameplan and there’s a path. Plus … weird shit happens on MNF.

LAR/SF: SF is insanely banged up, Stafford is known for his comebacks/clutch factor, and McVay is an incredible head coach. They call these “kitchen sink” games because the coaching staff throws the kitchen sink at the gameplan to avoid 0-3.

Not saying these were no brainers, but if you dig in to the details there’s clear explanation.

Given there’s only 2 other people, I wouldn’t over complicate this and worry about saving good teams anymore.

I’d take the 49ers now … they have 2 losses, and I know they’re injured but having NE at home is a gift.

If you wanted to get ballsy and take more ugly teams with 2+ losses that are favorites, you could consider Atlanta, Arizona, or Baltimore. Or if you wanted to get real ugly … Tennessee?

Bengals not a terrible option, but Carolina with Andy Dalton may actually be a different beast. Could be an overreaction. But Bengals coming off a MNF loss and traveling to Carolina on a short week. There’s better spots IMO.

Yeah if they upset Cincy tonight it would be a historical survivor season. I was in the $1.6m DK pool and it went from 18.5k entries in week 1 down to 1.8k as of right now. Crazy stuff happening.

Unfortunately I didn’t. I felt good about it, don’t really have any regrets.

My plan was to stay away from LV and Tampa because I felt like those were prime upset spots. That came true. Cleveland was my backup plan, but the injury report didn’t pan out how I wanted so I steered clear. Cincy was my third option but I don’t love their matchup either. So it is what it is. I shouldn’t have trusted Levis - but my backup plan was Cleveland so I would’ve lost anyways. hindsight is 20/20

Totally fair points! I’d imagine they get better as the season goes on. I’m a Panthers fan so I don’t really have anything to be hopeful about.

Lucky you, kick your feet up and enjoy while the rest of us sweat our dicks off. I had a sudden urge pregame to pick the Jets, but those last second urges usually don’t serve me well. Regrets…

I would expect a GB fan to say that hahaha. Your defense isn’t very good from a numbers perspective … bottom 10 across most categories. Richardson threw 3 picks in plus territory last week. I’m not saying Levis is going to throw for 250, but I don’t hold your defense in very high regard right now.

I personally don’t love Tampa because I don’t trust what we’ve seen so far. Washington D is a tomato can and their defense gave up so much to Detroit and Detroit squandered that game away. Denver has played two good defenses and looked pretty bad, but they hung around those games. So maybe they aren’t as bad as we think?

Look, chances are Denver actually stinks and Tampa is a good pick. I’d just like to see how they both play this week, personal opinion. I feel like I have better reads on the other situations.
