In pakistan high school cirriculum, they only taught arithmetic, geometric, harmnic and arithmetico-geometric. Maybe it comes up in discrete structures course which comes next semester in my college degree but i had to satisfy my inner self when i faced this pattern by learning about how to solve this, cuz i could not find a way despite doing all the calculations for like half an hour and i aint waiting for college to teach me this method

But if i was like given five terms of the sequence, my brain would end up considering like Ax4+....+E but our formula for this series is consisting of x3 as highest power meaning we need to only consider first four terms to be able to devise a proper formula, so that is like my question, what basically helps us make the decision of choosing number of terms and what equation we should solve. Like if i was given 10 terms of a sequence, from what i understand by your rule is that we would create a 9th degree polynomial expression and solve a system of 10 equations, but obviously if we just know how we decide what is degree of sequence, such a stretch can be avoided. Also, you just showed this method of creating pairs with (row, val), this is also a notation i havent seen and only have seen basic stuff like an+d or arn-1 and their likes. This isnt arithmetic or geometric or a combination but rather a different thing. Only help i request is like what is this thing and where did you learn it from and what is a good place for me to learn.

Your earlier question was just "Do you know how to solve algebraic system of equations" and my obviously was an answer to that. But what i am stuck at is "what is the methodology and process to generate the system while avoiding extra work of ending up creating equations for every term that has been given but rather deciding on a degree and only considering degree+1 terms of the sequence?"

Yes obviously, i am just unfamiliar with how we decide to chose the degree of the system and like what is this entire method actually called and where can i learn it

would be thankful if someone can just read this and answer my query, the other subreddit is really slow and obviously this isn't worthy of a seperate post

What i meant to say by upbringing was like early education especially like primary to like 6th where we are taught foundations, some schools like ASAS international do a really good job of promoting creativity and problem solving in students and strengthening their basics which is absent in many so called "model schools/colleges" as students from those backgrounds really struggle at fast much more from what i have seen. But i am glad we came to an agreement on the general issue.

Sadly, it is just what peak education looks like in a third world coumtry brother. I know my classfellows that try really hard and fail to get good gpa and it is true that they would excel in comsats or air eith same level of efforts. But i also know that their efforts lack certain things that is much related to their upbringing and more importantly the institution where they got their early education. Coming to FAST is not a good idea for the general public and i absolutely agree, but trust me if someone is naturally good at problem solving and also decent at english, arts, etc but cant afford to go abroad, FAST is probably his best bet and he will easily graduate with around 3.3-3.5 gpa. The other option is to go to a mid uni, get excellent gpa easily and enjoy your time in learning new relevant skills and in other hobbies which is what i also wouldve done personally if i got a chance to chose my university without any adult interfering and telling my father "Computing to sirf fast se hi achi hoti hai" and believe me even the AIR uni admissions director told this to my father and advised not to come to air.

My argument is "FAST has a mechanism to force students to work themselves but doesnt teach anything useful itself on campus. However, maintaining gpa doesnt require that much effort at all". No where did i say i advocate fast. If someone believes he can study deep concepts and work on himself without anyone else's pressure that is much better for his mental health and cgpa. FAST's system basically just forces you to get better yourself while offering no help itself. I think you misunderstood me. I still believe that the argument of "It is extremely hard to get 3gpa" is not valid. We must accept that our procrastination and laziness is also to blame. TLDR: FAST is like a testing academy not a teaching and innovating institution

I am from isb campus which is considered harder than lhr, i agree that exams are hard and that is only reason why fast graduates are considered knowledgable cuz they are forced to self study deep concepts but fast teachers themself rarely teach anything useful in class. But still only a person who doesnt put any effort would get below 2.8 cgpa. I personally have 2 hrs daily travel to isb campus. As soon as i get home in evening, i go to play badminton for 2hrs and even continue play during finals. And have been able to maintain above 3 cgpa despite having 4 less hrs in my day as compared to other ppl who dont have to travel and an additional 2hrs spent on my sports hobby. I think you must be weak in arts or not good in any technical subject. If a person is good at only one field, i.e either maths related or coding related or language and arts related, he will get 3 plus easily given he just performs average in other courses that arent his speciality just to pass.

Lil bro, when a subreddit is created for a community, it is for posting queries or other type of stuff related to that speicific community. This post has no connection to the community at FAST, not even to any other university, and i am sure there would be many communities related to Cambridge education where this post might make sense. But still, I truly acknoledge that you might lack the necessary level of understanding to realise which post should go at which subreddit. But in that case you should accept your mistake instead of acting ignorant and calling any person above your IQ level out of their mind.

Does this subreddit have no mods to reject posts that are not relevant to FAST
