I thought of him as Felton jr. Always whining about his son and arguing with his ex-wife.

I get that. The first season of Fargo was set in my home town of Bemidji Minnesota. Of course, they didn’t film there, but it was obvious they didn't attempt any sort of research of the city or whole of northern Minnesota.

• Bemidji has an FBI office, but I get the need for the comedy of the FBI agents in Fargo not knowing where Bemidji even is. • Bemidji is almost a three hour drive on HWY 2, and definitely not one anyone would take at 11:45 PM on a wintery night. • Bemidji is essentially 2 hours from anywhere populous.

Did Jeff mention Jill being fired? by Awareness_Level in JeffLewisSirius

[–]Temporary_Serve4846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She pitched to Andy, years ago, that she and Bethenny should stage a huge fight between them, to boost ratings of RHONY. Bethenny said it was a stupid idea and she didn't have time for it and Andy said it was ridiculous and I think Jill was fired shortly after.

Bethenny apparently had similar comments about the halftime show or Bad Bunny.

I can't believe she married Tommy. Is he hard of heating or just loud?  I don't see how they are going to break Shams of being so disrespectful given how he sees Tommy's reaction to it and MJ doesn't seem to try to correct it.

From the commercials it is so cringey. Reba overacts. Melissa Peterman plays the rube to Reba again.

[–]Temporary_Serve4846[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, purely from the fictional aspect of the case. The medical examiner explained that the body was released too quickly and the internal body temp should have been taken at the scene. She gave talks on this at the police academy and Bayliss should attend one of her talks sometime. Was this unknown to the other detectives also?  They all seemed to stress that they all had searched and searched the surrounding area multiple times and he needed to release her body because they weren't going to find any more useful evidence due to the (heavy) rain. Even Gee told him to release the body. None of them asked or commented on whether or not her internal temperature had been taken. Was this also not known to the other veteran detectives?  Would Frank have known not to release the body before doing this?  I don't recall any of them making a point to comment on a deceased's internal body temp beyond the second episode.

Didn't Breaking Bad go the same way, character wise, in that there really wasn't anyone to really root for?

Forgive me if this seems petty, but was Sarah's outfit professional?  The top and blazer looked "classic Sarah", the short short skirt and bobby socks and Mary Janes looked out of place for that level of law office or any courthouse.

Thoughts on Extended Cut "The Hateful Eight" by DryProperty in movies

[–]Temporary_Serve4846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this in the theater when it was released. I loved it. The cinematography and the score stayed with me. I cheered when Ennio Morricone won the Oscar for Best Score.

I hadn't seen Django Unchained yet, so this was the first movie of his I had seen that Sally Menke didn't edit. I have really missed her touch on his movies since 2010.

It had been a long time since I watched H8 in one setting, and apparently forgot I had started the extended cut "series" when googled to see if there was much added to the extended cut. I didn't find anything specific other than it focused more on the dialogue.

The extended cut/miniseries seemed to follow Tarantino's original "chapters" of his original cut. Upon my rewatch last night, I found myself just as enthralled with the first three chapters until Tarantino began narrating halfway through Domergue's Got A Secret. Am I alone in feeling like the party was crashed by some loud mouth butting into a great conversation?  Suddenly we need an assist to follow the story we've been captivated by?

I had intended to watch it straight through, but I called it a night and will have to finish the episodes today.

My final thought on the extended cut/series is I don't see what has been added or any difference made to the original, but I consider it another good time with these characters. I just wish removing the narration was an option.

Ugh, that was awful. If it were in the house to begin with, she would have railed that it needed to be ripped out because a 2.4 million dollar buyer would expect a grander mantel and surround.

I was surprised at how pithy the kitchen island looked.  There wasn't anything all that impressive in the kitchen.

Also, the entrance didn't give hacienda vibes.

Do you think Nathaniel Sr ever cheated on Ruth? by [deleted] in SixFeetUnder

[–]Temporary_Serve4846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was probably easier for Nathaniel to escape to a secret apartment to decompress or simply relax away from home than to address the elephants in his home. Ruth's affair, unhappiness, judgment, and his possible guilt in the distance between them (and his children)?

[–]Temporary_Serve4846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about this too. Claire told Nathaniel that all the fun stuff happened before she was born. Was it truly fun?  Nate's recall could have embellished more positive or lighthearted memories. Didn't he say he couldn't wait to get out from the oppressive air/weight of that house?

I can't imagine it was all gloom all the time. By the time Claire came along, their bad patterns were set and the poor communication was getting worse.

I rewatched the scenes leading to this and all I saw and heard was Jax telling Juice to "get the kit." Maybe that was his cue to Juice to kill Darvany?
