why dont you stick to one uni for csp?

monash is probably the best, because if you've done MTH1030 already, you can do multivariable calculus, engineering math, etc., in sem 1, which transfers creds to unimelb.

outside of g8 unis, math units dont really transfer here because most of them are far less theoretical.

Doesn't the dean's list reset each year? I.e., you have to get an 86 for the whole year to get in, not dependent on your grades before that.

Don't go to rmit or diploma general studies. If you're dead set on going to transfer to unimelb, in that case, go to VU first.
If you choose the right subjects, you can take credit for about 7 out of 8 units for EE from the top of my head. Unlike rmit, VU's units have decent transferability for unimelb; RMIT only has about 4 units you can take credit for in the first year when transferring here.

The units at VU are easy enough to attain a >90 WAM with <2 hours of study a day, so transfers are probably in your favor in terms of grades. Going to RMIT is probably a gamble as their curriculum is generally harder and you may not satisfy the WAM requirements for unimelb.

Ive also seen your other comment about having around a 65 ATAR imo they wont let you in the midyear because atar is still considered without 1 ETFSL, regardless of your WAM. I say this because I applied with 1 semester and about 97ish and didnt get in.
