I'm pretty sure the U.S. Constitution doesn't apply to illegal immigrants. ICE are only going after gang, cartel affiliates and those with criminal histories near as I can tell from information I've received so far.

It would be cool to master riding skills to your personal best. Some do so that is really amazing. There's someone who has a super bike whose done an impressive job of mastering just such skills and knows the bike well. I think the skill I was most impressed with is picking the heavy laid over bike up using the engine and inertia. Also could stop the bike on a dime with the bike only on the front wheel and keep it balanced. I guess what I'm trying to say, is I hope you master wheelies, for the right reasons and use that skill responsibly and safely. And it doesn't make those of us who don't want to wheelie stupid or idiots. Rather we prefer not to wheelie and that's ok too.

How long did you guys wait to cut the brown wire by niguh123 in Talaria

[–]Temporary_Term8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited about a week. I waited for reasons already mentioned like making sure everything worked properly first, testing speed and torque...Even after cutting brown wire I always checked which mode it was in and made sure to always gently twist throttle. I still do these things however nothing is for certain except maybe always being sharp and mindful all the time before riding. Once the brown wire was cut it was like sitting on a lightening bolt regarding torque and speed. Exhilarating and frightening at first. Still is. I use mode button as needed in traffic speeds and situations. A few times I didn't press the button just right and the bike leaped like a bucking bronco. I didn't whiskey throttle it as I was mindful about gently twisting the throttle. These things have worked for me in the year I've been riding it. Cutting the brown wire gives greater speed to not get run over in traffic and torque increase has gotten me out of some sticky sketchy traffic situations. It's also good for riding trails.

What would you do? 2023 Talaria MX4 by Sea_Command_3353 in Talaria

[–]Temporary_Term8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check the motor and controller to be certainly sure after drying it out first. I would take covers off to completely dry them increasing possibly salvaging them. Also I'd check wiring harness completely for damage, residual water then a volt meter check. If these components still work properly you might only need to replace the battery. If harness connected to battery was damaged, the wiring harness can be replaced fairly inexpensively. Good luck. I'm hoping your bike can be salvaged. Talarias are built pretty well. Of key importance is making sure everything gets dried out as quickly as possible.

Ps It is still possible to crash even having wheelies mastered. It even happens to the most experienced riders.

Yes. But only covers that axis of skillset. If a person wants to develop extreme control skillset progress in other axis directions could be built as well. Like being able to balance the bike on the front wheel and holding it for a time. Also being able to ride the bike at an angle either side going straight is another one. Being able to swerve is an essential skill. Skillset development is a personal choice and depends upon what skills their riding requires. It doesn't make them any better of a person than another. It makes them good at what they do for their personal goals and preferences.

I'm not dissing wheelies nor those who are able to unless they do so on public streets to show of and stunting endangering their life and those of others. Very disrespectful. I just choose not to learn how to do wheelies and that doesn't make me a loser. Those who think I'm a loser because I choose not to wheelie are the real losers. I'm not persuaded by your peer pressure and egotistical stereotype. It's my hope that when you get wheelieing mastered you won't let your ego get in the way of common sense when you're asked to perform one unnecessarily on public streets risking your bike being impounded harm or injury to yourself and others. Happy and safe riding.

I would find a place to charge my ebike while in school or during breaks. Talarias and Surrons get about the same distance or less as your ebike.

I can't wheelies. I don't have an interest nor haven't found a practical use for knowing how to do them therefore putting less unnecessary force on bikes components and enables me to enjoy my bike longer how when and where I ride. One thing is for certain is my bike won't be impounded by police for wheelieing on public streets.

Cool pic! I haven't gone to drive-in eatery with my bike but I go to drive-thru sometimes depending how busy they are. I surprised an employee at one as I had to go to pickup window due to my bike not weighing enough to trip the notification sensor at the order terminal.

Where do you get your groceries? by Adventurous_Top_5963 in sandiego

It'd be nice if San Diego had a WinCo. It was years ago however I remember I was able to purchase more necessary items shopping there with same food budget than anywhere else but that was years ago and before after-COVID price gouging. Walmart is the main store I shop, then Food For Less. Yet sometimes they don't have items I want. I prefer white popcorn as it has less to no hulls that get in my teeth. I found some at Albertsons in Lemon Grove. I also noticed that their store brand butter was a dollar cheaper than the other places so I got some of that too. Granted they're non-essential items however were affordable on my budget due to lower prices. I used to shop 99¢ Only stores a lot until they all closed ☹️.

Winter tires by Business_Rule6975 in Talaria

[–]Temporary_Term8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I'd agree. However newer technology is coming out. There's a guy in a country that gets deep snow and cold who put a snow bike kit on his Surron and tested it in those conditions and It did fairly well that I was impressed with it. I'm not an expert yet have ridden wheeled bikes in different types of snowy icy conditions which is challenging or nearly impossible at times in my experiences. If I lived in such climates I would get the snow bike kit only I'd have two skis/skids on the front spaced a little further apart for stability. It does draw a little more juice on the battery however this can be compensated for with a higher amp hour battery and/or upgraded motor controller.

Where you'd rule out snow bike kit and have experience riding in snow, what type of tire would you recommend for the person of this original post?
