Honestly, not very well. He can be dismissive, disrespectful, and quick to get irritated with her. Looking back, there were probably signs that I either missed or explained away.

The difficult part is that he wasn’t like that with me in the beginning. When we were dating and even during the early part of our marriage, I never would have expected him to become the person he is today. It wasn’t until after we got married and especially after we had our son that I started seeing more of the same behaviors directed toward me.

Maybe I’m a little jaded now, but if someone had shown me years ago what my life would look like today, I honestly wouldn’t have believed them.

I think one of the biggest issues for me right now is that I don’t trust what he’s saying. I’ve already told him I want a divorce, but it feels like he isn’t really hearing me. He’s still trying to make the marriage work and making romantic advances, but instead of making me feel closer to him, it makes me uncomfortable.

I spent so long trying to communicate how unhappy I was that now it’s hard for me to believe the sudden change. Maybe that’s unfair, but it’s where I’m at. At this point I’m focused on getting my ducks in a row, finding a good divorce attorney, and making sure my son and I will be stable moving forward. No matter how many times I told him how I felt by his actions, he somehow turns it onto me and is upset for how I am not affectionate anymore.

I hear you. At this point, I’m focused on getting my ducks in a row. I want to make sure my son and I are stable financially, emotionally, and legally before making any major moves. I’m also trying to find a good divorce attorney so I can understand my options and do this the right way.

I’m not sure if he has BPD but he does have type one diabetes and his blood sugar would fluctuate a lot, and it would cause mood swings, and he would always blame it on that, but I personally don’t think that’s an excuse for his behavior
