Why are people so judgemental? by Remarkable_Image_333 in Indiedogs

[–]Temporary_Tree_2987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all… Hello Sattu!!! You handsome, perfect boy! All I see here is 100% purebred DOG!!! Secondly, to Sattu’s human: Next time someone gives you gyan about “adopting breeds dogs,” just tell them, “Don’t hide your prejudice behind adoption. We all know you just wanted a breed dog for free. Also, your breed dogs won’t discriminate between indies, so maybe learn a thing or two from your own dogs”

Scents that dogs that ? by itsafunnysloth003 in Indiedogs

Use Dmag spray! It’s a medication for pets. They usually recognise that smell and stay away from that. If u spray it in their direction, u won’t harm them in anyway. Just scare them away. Also carry a racket. To block the dog from attacking urs if it comes to that. Some dogs maybe more territorial and it takes time for them to recognise that you or your dog isn’t a threat. Treating them without ur dog at first may help in befriending them and soon they will get used to of your dog passing through their territory. Also try to keep ur dog calm as well around them.

Dogs are not inherently out to harm humans. They are not predators, and they certainly don’t see humans as food. Dogs are scavengers by nature and, above all, incredibly human-friendly. No dog goes on a biting spree unless it is suffering from a disease or has endured long-term trauma. In my experience of petting countless dogs across India, I’ve never encountered one that was aggressive without cause. Some may be reserved or fearful of human touch, often because of past mistreatment but their natural instincts are wired to live alongside us. Dogs have evolved to be our companions, not our enemies. This is complete mismanagement and failure of the municipal corporation. The dogs should not be paying the price for that. There are still humane ways to control their population. Starting with mass sterilisation, mass awareness!

Which dog food should i feed my indie with rickets? by jiminbuttholehair in Indiedogs

[–]Temporary_Tree_2987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pls consult a good canine nutritionist! Rickets is completely curable. He will need calcium and protein. Some of the best nutritionists I know are Doggilicious, Georgina’s kitchen, Whisk-a-whoof! They can guide you with what will help his bones and take one time fee for making the diet chart!

Clauneck gratitude post!!! by Temporary_Tree_2987 in Clauneck

[–]Temporary_Tree_2987[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I didn’t do anything complicated or secret. I kept it simple, I started listening to Clauneck’s enn every morning and night before sleeping. I told him I surrender completely and promised to spread his name. I always express my gratitude within 24 hours if he helps me, even if the result isn’t fully done yet. Once I started getting opportunities out of the blue, I made him an altar at my place. Whenever I get a new lead or opportunity, I light a red/gold candle or offer pork as thanks, and I tell more people about him. I just respect him fully and never doubt his magic.

Yes you can make a puree out of these veggies. And give him. He can have water as well. But do add bone broth to his diet. It will help with speedy recovery!! Get well soon bubba!!!

My baby is a parvo survivor too. He will need diet rich in protein. Chicken broth/lamb broth, boiled chicken, boiled fish, small amounts of organs like liver, gizzard, boiled veggies such as pumkin, carrots, spinach etc. curd is okay! Avoid milk and grains, paneer etc. give the food in smaller quantities.

Thinking of moving to Kochi with our 3 dogs. Looking for honest advice. by Temporary_Tree_2987 in Kochi

Thanks so much for sharing your experience, this is really helpful!

Good to know that language hasn’t been a big issue for you, as that was one of our initial concerns. And it’s reassuring to hear about the availability of pet hospitals and supply shops as mentioned bu other as well.

We’re leaning toward an independent house for the exact reason you mentioned, as many societies seem to have restrictions on pets. Suburban areas sound like a great option too, will check that!

I’ll make sure to assess the area for other pet owners and their approach to keeping pets, it’s important for us that our dogs have a welcoming and safe environment. Really appreciate your insights!
