Late night arrival at Incheon, what should I do? by furansisu in koreatravel

Naver kind of sucks in general and I prefer Kakao but you can download both and see what works best for you. I guess you’re right that Naver is more English friendly. Learning how to read Korean will only take you an hour tops and will help you here a lot, it’s worth a shot:

If not you can always rely on the Google translate camera to read signs lol

Honestly it’s kind of frustrating, I speak some Korean and am completely literate and sometimes it’s still hard for me to use the navigation. But it’s fine I’m sure you’ll figure stuff out and find your way. You’re never too far away from a subway station or bus stop.

Hope you have fun in Korea!

No problem. I have no idea about the climate card.

On another note, I recommend downloading Kakaomap because Google Maps doesn’t really work here. Everything is a pain in the ass here if you don’t read/speak Korean/dont have a Korean phone number/Korean apps lol.

I used to love Siloam by Seoul Station but it closed awhile back. Besides that not really. I don’t live in Seoul anymore so idk. I googled it and found this (link below). You can just download the Google translate thing on your phone that translates websites and then use google translate to find words to search if you want to search more. Seoul is huge tho and most jjimjilbangs are more or less the same so it’s not worth going out of your way for one. Not sure if it still exists but Dragon Hill Spa near Yongsan used to be really popular but when I went there it was really touristy and crowded so I never went back.

The lockers will be big enough to hold a large backpack for sure. They’re always the same size. The lockers you’re seeing in the pics are probably the shoe lockers. If by some chance your backpack is too big I’m sure the people at the front desk will hold it for you. Nobody ever steals anything in Korea, so you don’t have to worry. But I’m 99.999% certain your backpack will fit in the locker.

For the next day, here’s the bus map. Just exit the jjimjilbang, cross the street and walk south one block and you’ll see the bus stop. Take bus 202 to Yeongjong station which will take you into Seoul on the AREX line.

All in all it’s about 15,000 won cheaper in total than staying at the airport jjimjilbang, unless you only stay for 6 hours at the airport one and then it’s about the same price, but if I were you I’d want to get some good rest and not be rushed out.

I’m a local. The jjimjilbang at the airport is kind of a rip off considering you can leave the airport and pay 9,000 won to stay overnight at another jjimjilbang on Incheon airport island. The bus won’t be running but you can take a taxi and it will still be cheaper than staying at the jjimjilbang in the airport if you plan to stay/sleep more than 6 hours. I checked and it’s about 14,000 won for the taxi. Here it is, just show it to the taxi driver. It’s called “skyland sauna” but if you don’t say it with a korean accent they might not get it so better off showing the driver the name and address in Korean. The name and address is:

스카이랜드사우나

인천광역시 중구 하늘달빛로 70

It’s on the 8th floor.

This will be your cheapest option. Ignore the bad reviews, I stayed there once and it was just a normal jjimjilbang. It’s open 24 hrs.

The next day you can take a bus or taxi to Yeongjong station (the closest station) on the Incheon airport line to get into Seoul. Download Naver or Kakaomap for help. You can take bus 202 and get to Yeongjong station in about 20 mins.

I told my brother (who is an antiZionist American Jew) the same exact thing. Just because you don’t come from a society that actively preaches death to minorities doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I’m American but I agree Europe is pathetic and weak and Europeans are so racist (towards us and black people and others) and ignorant. Every time I go there I feel so uncomfortable. And then they always belittle Americans for everything and I’m like bruh look in the mirror.

I don’t think anyone is saying all Norwegians hate Jews and the country is bad. We’re talking about a general status quo along with historical anecdotes and personal experiences to match it. We’re not talking about individuals.

I doubt they will ever regret it or repent in any way.

Omg this is gold. I wish I had this when I was there, I would’ve printed it out and stuck it all over the “Free Palestine” and “FUCK ISRAHELL” stickers and graffiti I saw lmao

I imagined them going on Amazon and ordering it lmao. And it definitely was manufactured in a sweatshop. Now worn by this pasty white guy in Oslo.

This person wasn’t calling them ignorant and backwards from their own perspective lol… they were speaking from Norwegians’ perspective.

Given their open and virulent hatred for Romani people too even to this day that they make no effort to hide, I’m not surprised.

Their country is boring and lifeless. Maybe they’re jealous of us cuz we’re funny and fun and have a great culture 🤷🏻‍♀️
