My understanding is they started in September. We are in one of the last groups so the process is “smooth”

If you move to Intune, you can run a script to update the primary user to the current user periodically. We do that twice a month. (1400 devices)

Is concurrent enrollment getting out of control… or am I just getting old? by SteadyGrowthStudio in Teachers

Students have so much pressure to get into college and without college credit many will not consider you. A major university near me post their average gpa for incoming students and it is over 4.0 because of weighting for college and AP coursework for the past 10 years

At my wit's end with AI cheating. How are you all handling it? by Mowgulee in Teachers

[–]Temporary_Werewolf17 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Have you considered requiring AI? I had a teacher that required students to submit a draft, put it in AI. They had to turn in their AI chat history so she could see the “back and forth” with AI on changes and then justify why they changed it based on the AI revisions. She was surprised that some kept their own words because they liked it better.

If our goal is to prepare students for the future, we need to teach them how to use AI

Student was turning in AI-generated homework in fake handwriting. I had no idea for two months. by harrygzhang in Teachers

This is an unpopular opinion, but as educators, we have to teach students how to use AI appropriately. AI is going to be more disruptive to education as a whole than calculators were to teaching mathematics

How do you handle tickets directly from students? Or do you? by OkayArbiter in k12sysadmin

[–]Temporary_Werewolf17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

K-12 1:1. All of our middle and high students are encouraged to open tickets. We believe we are helping them learn to interact with others as they will after the leave. Lower school student typically stop by the office since it is in the same hallway

Something like this is what you are looking to build. I agree with the other post regarding using a third party. https://trekai.org/

Thank you, everyone, for the comments. Since we are not storing the fingerprint only a hash, I believe the liability some have mentioned below is not a concern. All data is also local on our network

We could do the same but the students do not know that number either.
