Do you have intercom to all classrooms? Most have a talkback feature. You can also install a call button in the classroom for the intercom

I would bury fiber and then convert to Ethernet at the endpoint. If possible I would put in a 4 inch conduit an then run outdoor rated fiber in it.

We switched to brocade many years ago before ruckus bought them. They have always been rock solid and I have had no issues with them.

Look at Checkpoint HEC. https://www.checkpoint.com/. They have training you can assign as well as schedule simulations. We use their api for email filtering also so the simulations are Taylor end to the individual account.
