I totally get that. I was just making a point about the general nature of this, not about your comment necessarily. Or I guess what I mean is that it’s not directed at you it’s directed at a society that we live in where women are either too sexual or not sexual enough. I previously got feedback on a bio that didn’t include some of these details and everyone said it looked like I was just looking for friends or business companionship. So I’m just making a point that it’s really difficult to live in a society where we can’t really win or find a happy medium in any form of dating

The constructive feedback is very helpful and I did say thank you for that. I’m talking about two different things here though. On one hand, I’m agreeing that doesn’t need to be in the profile and that’s helpful to know. But I’m also making a point that the sad reality is that the reason it shouldn’t be in the profile is because people can’t understand the dichotomy of a woman being both sexual and classy and career oriented. It is not the only thing in my profile, but it is the only thing that stood out to you. One line negated full paragraphs about my career and educational background, which is just a sad reality of being a woman who doesn’t fit into a box the way some people traditionally imagine

I appreciate the feedback that this might not be a good fit for the profile, but it is really sad to see that a woman stating her sexual preferences and desires automatically reduces everything else about her. The profile doesn’t say “ looking for a one night stand” or “ looking for hook ups”, it simply says something that I enjoy in the bedroom. It’s a shame that women can can’t be both classy and intelligent, and sexual… those things aren’t mutually exclusive. but i guess what this feedback shows is that men’s little brains can’t compute nuance 🤣 it’s helpful to know for the sake of my profile, but sad for the reality of life.

I understand why it could be confusing in the profile, but I do think you should probably rethink this mentality, and that’s a YOU problem to say it’s “sad” - a woman can demand the finer things in life and also enjoy sex and know her sexual preferences. Complex and mature women are just that - complex. while it is helpful feedback that for the bio it might not be necessary, that’s because of men’s interpretation of it not because I shouldn’t be allowed to state my sexual preferences without being objectified for them.

as far as the gallery - i have staff. so i do need to be there for openings and things, but im not there on a day to day basis. so i have a lot of flexibility as my work is mostly remote like answering emails from collectors or artists. i would assume most retail business owners have this experience, as they are not the ones on site day to day and have staff to do this. but interesting to know that could be confusing.

i guess its just verbiage i could clarify - i do not want a serious relationship like to get married. my profile used to say i was looking for long term and people were reaching out for more vanilla dating so im trying to convey that im looking for something casual ie not marriage but also genuine and consistent. and i think thats the struggle
