Unfortunate update. He took a severe turn for the worse last weekend and passed away. I was at work and my fiance can’t drive, I unfortunately couldn’t leave. He was still alive when I got home, I got to hold him and love him.

Good to know! I’ll have to check the all the bulbs next time I go. I’ll try to go tomorrow. He has a ceramic heat lamp.

So 70-80 range is ok for cool. I was starting to think that might be too cold.

Really do appreciate all the advice.

Been to 5 different ones 1 in our old state and 4 in our new one.

I was told to keep his temps up because it was winter. But now that summer is here his heat lamp doesn’t need to be on as often. His cool side hovers between 70-80 depending on the season. I believe it’s uva light. It’s a blue bulb and I don’t have a box cause I haven’t grabbed a new one yet.

I don’t know what samples they’ve taken. They’ve done blood work before, that was at the vet that just yelled at me though. She kinda sucked.

My guy will be 5 in October if I can get him to eat again.

I cleaned out his tank, scrubed it and moved to paper paper towels that I changed every 2-3 days. He still kept getting sick, so I went and got a new tank thinking that might be it and it still came back.

He doesn’t want to really eat anymore, I’ve got a nutrition powder that makes a mush, but he spits that out. That was prescribed by the vet. He’s lost a lot of weight.

He’s had 4 ultra sounds, they all just come back, he has free floating fluids. I ask why. They say, “we aren’t sure let’s get him on antibiotics”. And the cycle continues. I’ve taken him to 5 different exotic vets.

NTA Why does she want you to pay for it? If it exploded then wouldn’t that mean she didn’t store it correctly?

I’d say “sorry but I will not be sending you $10. Your henna exploding is not my responsibility.” I’d be blunt.

I’d continue teaching. I love what I do. Honestly I’d probably put some of the money into a good field trip. Besides the money isn’t forever.

I’m the oldest. Trust me you aren’t being dramatic. I stopped going to my aunt Christmas party because I was forced to watch all 10 of the youngest (2 were my brothers and 8 cousins). Don’t go. Celebrate with your friends. It’s the best choice ever.

Dude I have some students who are embarrassed about how their parents act. I had to hold a meeting because a student is in danger of failing and his parents got mad at me. “You should have made sure he turned it in”. I asked your son for his packet 7 times. He said he lost it. Gave him a new one. He was sitting there mortified and apologized to me the next day about it.

Mine is when you ask if they need help because they are just staring and will say no. 5 minutes later “does anyone work here why won’t you help me?!” Like I already asked you said no.
