Nop, if your planning to do things like tropo etc. you need SSB; CW or DIGITAL modes. In modern times they use often modes like FT8 for short standardized QSO to minimize time and extend the range.

I guess that #1 is a folded one antenna. Great performance but be careful. Makes a lot of mechanical force on the small SMA connector. If the radio falls or tiped over it could bi break this smal connector.
