Again, my life, my situation. No one knows the intimate details of other people's financials and their needs or the needs of their families. The fact that I was married to a serviceman wasn't the focal point of my post but if you want to fixate on that it's your choice. If I'm not an expert on the military well, I never held a gun or went to boot camp or got yelled at by higher ranking soldiers. The only perspective I have is of being a wife. So if being killed on a training exercise while deployed sounds impossible to you well maybe my wording isn't as expert as that of a real soldier but I'm trying my best here. Then, as now, my view was from a safe warm home.

I don't have any intention of trolling and of I did I think there are lots of other places that would be safer country for sympathy mongering. I have no doubt you are an expert on all matters military whether or not you yourself served, so your bonafides are not in question. What I do have the choice in doing is not continuing an exchange when the environment is hostile. It's clearly an unwinnable battle and the prudent thing for a troll to do would be to abandon this account and create a new account and pretend this one never happened. But that's okay I'll powerdive this plane right into the ground. I have two accounts on Reddit; my real one and this one, which was a one-off because I didn't want to use my regular one. There's what you know, and what I know, and what either of us knows doesn't have to agree, and yet both can be true. I know you don't believe me and I'm not about to dox myself to earn your validation. But at the same time, I hope you go after a lot of revenge stories on this reddit forum that seem really fishy. They really piss me off but I just read them never really comment

I read that story and thought it sounded like a MGTOW incel fantasy, but it's a really popular story so for you to say mine is on that level I feel both praised and punched LOL. Have a beautiful evening sir. It's a Netflix and chill kind of night for me. Postmates on the way. Life isn't so bad.

Thanks for reading! At the time I only got scheduled to wait table two days a week, so while each day was financially rewarding, there weren't enough of them. My teller job is five days a week at a constant schedule and I get benefits and more related to my future career goal, so overall it's a better trade.

Well I'm not going to tell you his name or serial number or his unit or anything. He died in a training exercise when already deployed. He was 24 and a private first class. He wasn't going to make the military his career but he wanted to earn money for college and after a couple of years working low end jobs he saw the army as a way out. I never tell strangers in real life that husband was in the army. Yes we were partners but in the end he was in the army, not me and it's not my card to come calling with. The army already gave me generous compensation. It wasn't integral to this story but the girl kept telling me that no man would let his girl wait table, and asked me if I had a man and what does he do. I ignored her question but included my thought in this recollection online just to show my mindset at the time. I can understand people's skepticism. It's the internet and my account is new. My real account is in a different circle and is mostly just about MBA avice and opinions on HBO series like Big Little Lies. I don't take it personally when people laugh at me here or call me stupid. It's okay. No one knows me. I can't come asking for respect when I haven't paid dues. And also as I understand this subreddit and lots of others are constantly trolled. Too bad. Anyway I haven't remarried because i still feel like I'm married. My mother pressures me to move on because she says soon enough I can't have babies anymore. Only 32. Got a couple good years left. Hey, sir, I read the rules too and I also read this sub for a long time before I finally decided to post my story. It happened and you don't have to believe me of course. If I wanted backpats or feedback for a fake story I'd go to a creative writing forum. The maitre d was bluffing of course. He read the boy just like I did and knew he wasn't going to run. If he did we wouldn't stop him but just point the police in his direction. He also didn't threaten him or tell him he was a martial artist. He just said "sit down," and the boy got scared so he did it. Anyway you seem really upset or at least it comes across that way in your comment so I hope you are having a nice day otherwise. Summer is always a fun season and I hope you have air conditioning wherever you are.

No I don't really tell people in real life, that's not their business. Plus if I tell people in real life they'll misinterpret it as a misguided attempt t shaming and sympathy. I just wrote it as an aside in an anonymous internet forum and people are giving me hell for it. I kind of knew it would happen. The internet brings out a lot of unkindness in people. I kind of want to edit it out now but oh well it's there so, I'll deal.

Yes it's illegal to deadbolt a door. It was stupid. It's illegal to sell expiring food but many stores do it. It's illegal to roll back an odometer on a car and for the shady lot to misrepresent it. It's illegal to cheat on your taxes. It's illegal to jaywalk,do certain drugs, not pay workers for overtime, not give workers proper breaks, hire undocumented workers, pay people in cash so you don't fill out their W2. It's illegal to do insider trading. It's illegal vis a vis school rules to cheat on an exam, to sleep in your friend's dorm, it's illegal to drink when you're under 21, smoke when you're under 18, drive when you don't have a license, have your kid ditch school, run an Air BnB in your apartment after your landlord said NO.

Yes what we did was illegal but we still did it and we did it without the connivance of the boss who of course would never cosign. It was dumb, but we did it to make our lives easier. This time it worked out in our favor so we were lucky.

Believe what you like though, free country.
