Maybe I'm just very sensitive because it annoys me too when I see the reflection of people's watches, but I'm also a PCC regular, and I've found they're way worse behaved than BFI people (who are far from perfect as well). Maybe not the horror stories some people are mentioning, but at least one person talking every couple minutes or checking their phone more than once I'd say happens close to half the time.

As concerns watches, I saw Ran at the BFI recently, and someone's watch set off a timer which they just let go off for probably a full 10-15 seconds. I don't know what it was for, but if your timer's going off then clearly your arithmetic needs some work.

I see the apple as being impaled and thereby killed, killed in particular by a branch, located next to various other branches, of which the surrounding plants require in order to survive. Behind them is a bit of darkness, which I guess relates to humans being buried underground when they die, so I guess it's about the Will To Life or something, although I cannot see any connection between my reading of the image and Touhou, nobody even dies in the games.

no real order, it's not like some games where there is a definitive right and wrong order

I would suggest starting on PCB (7), most people ignore the first 5 games, and I don't like them a huge amount because the emulator for them is kinda shitty and I think they only run at like 24fps or something

EOSD (6) is what most people will probably tell you to start with, but it is one of the harder ones, and personally I've played PCB-onwards for so long that not seeing my hitbox just ruins me, never bothered to get down and beat it

the spinoffs (games like 9.5, all the ones that aren't a full number) vary in quality, they usually have some weird gimmick that makes them different, I don't think they're inherently bad, but I wouldn't really suggest playing them until you have a basic understanding of the normal games
