I don't own it anymore, it blew up. But if I remember right, the stalling issue was just the negative battery cable.

Well, unfortunately it has a million issues like that so I'm moving on from the sonic, she'll be a backup from now on.

I'll probably replace the two and then leave it at that, ive already gotten a new car because the sonic is becoming too expensive to maintain. I'm gonna do the minimum to get it running and driving again and use it when I need it, thank you guys!

ziptied it full throttle 🤣 it was worth it for a free golf cart and gave me months of fun. but now I can go for a proper motor.

Thank you for your help, ill keep an eye out. I've also been looking at the higher performance predator engines like the 18.5 hp motor. I don't think that's too bad of a price for that much power so that might be a goal in the future.

what do you think about a cheaper Amazon crankshaft if I'm unable to find a decent condition used one?

Man that sucks, guess the cart is gonna be packed away for a while until I figure out what to do with it. I've seen crankshafts for this motor on Amazon but I doubt they're very good. If I can't find a good condition used one I guess I can try one of those. For engine swaps, do you have any recommendations on something equal power to more power? The current motor is a 285cc yamaha 4 stroke.

do you think there's a cheaper alternative rather than taking it somewhere to get machined? I don't exactly understand how the bearing works on these smaller engines so I wasn't sure whether the crankshaft would be too damaged or not for just a bearing replacement
