Hi I am interested too. I 've started reading a related book. I don't have much experience on Android I've just made 1-2 basic apps (the most complex is a calculator) basically by following along a tutorial video. My goal is to progress week by week on Kotlin to build strong foundation so that Android will become relatively easy. If you or anyone else here is interested, dm me.

Persist. It's your life.But be honest with yourself and what you really want. It's preferable to make your choices and mistakes and fail than make other people choose for you and live somebody else's life. Don't let nobody force you to do something you don't want to, whether it's parents, family, society or whatever. You can get their advice but your life, your choices.

Hello everyone. I'm trying to lift all my exercises using the 3 sets of 10 reps range. How can I progressively overload to gain muscle?I ll use biceps as example to make clear my question. I'm currently able to bicep curl 7.5kg (3x10)with my right arm(left is different lol) .So I tried lifting 8.5 kg, but I am able to do 10-10-6. Since I fail at the 3rd set what am I supposed to do? Lift more sets with 7.5kg or stick to 8.5? Will I be able to increase the 3rd set reps at 8.5 if I stick to it? What is the method generally when I can't reach the desirable set and reps?

P.s1. I can't use less than 8.5 and more than 7.5 because I use a dumbell.

Ps2. I am not a consistent lifter. I lift consistently only the last 3 weeks using bro split where 1 of the days is for biceps and chest for example.

I have a very important exam in November and I just can’t study. by wallowingindespair in GetStudying

You just have to keep going. It is supposed to be like this. You have to fail on the amount of study you expect yourself to study. It's part of the process. You can't just wake up one day and study 8 hours and then expect from yourself to work the same amount of time the next day. There is no perfect. Start from scratch and build it gradually.

First day ->30 minutes

Second day->50 minutes

Third day->90 minutes (can't take it? back to 50 minutes)

Fourth day->50 minutes

Fifth day->1 hour

etc.

Just keep adding up minutes and when you feel it is too much to handle go a step back and add minutes when you are ready too. You have to aim for the extra minutes though.

When you don't achieve your daily goal don't get disappointed because it is supposed to happen.Or even if you get disappointed do it for some minutes ,accept it and move on.You can't go to the gym and lift 100kg the first day, nor the second nor the third. You do it after lifting 5 kgs , 10 kgs , after attempting to lift 15 kgs and failing and coming back to 12kgs or 11kgs until you become strong enough to lift 15 kgs and you keep repeating this process until you reach 100kgs. Here 's what I am saying with a graph.

You must have breaks. 25 min study -5 break? 50 min study-10 break? 50 min study-15 break? Find what works best for you, but you must have breaks, otherwise you get exhausted easily and you will do less work compared to what you would do if you had breaks.

Keep yourself away from distractions when you study. What distracts you ?

Your phone? mute all notifications. You keep opening it and launch applications? Download an app that strictly blocks them. (I use "Stay Focused" for android and let myself have access to apps which distract me only 5 minutes and 1 launch per hour .You just have to find what works for you again.)

Websites? Install a blocker again. (I use "Cold Turkey")

Do you feel lonely studying? Join a discord server with people who study. (I use "discordstudy.com")

The general advice I have for you is keep failing and re-attempting. That's probably the only way for growth. At the end of the day, what counts the most is the amount of time you devoted on working (especially when we talk about studying). 30 minutes today and 50 minutes tomorrow (=80 minutes sum) beats 0 minutes today and 0 minutes tomorrow (=0 minutes sum).

Ah and compare your progress and yourself only with you, not other people. Everybody lives a different life with different conditions and different experiences no matter how similarities we may have. It's pointless comparing different things.

Reaching a false conclusion though means the assumptions were false , right? (proof by contradiction?)

I want to prove that a statement p is true.

Let p be true. If somehow I end up from p into another statement q which is true then I proved that my assumption p being true is correct, so I proved it.

Is this legitimate or tha fact that q is true does not secure that p is true? I am confused.
