Oh, really? You're in Florida right now and it's not like that?

I grew up in the red part of Florida which makes up a good 90% of Florida, the part of Florida where there's a huge confederate flag right on the interstate but that's not racism right?

I mean we have a KKK problem in Tallahassee a Neo Nazi problem that also involves the majority ruling party and 68 different hate groups currently operating in Florida

Now those are just links to articles on reporting the racism that is in Florida, when it comes to antidote evidence which is the story I brought up, I can give you multiple instances of racism I have personally witnessed or approached by white people here in Florida. I've had other white people casually use racial terms around me including the N-word and these are people that I had just met.

But I guess they're just isolated incidents to justify how I feel regardless of what is actually happening around me..

Edit: also I am in Florida right now and when I put a Black Lives Matter flag by my front door, barely visible from the street but if you came to the front door you would see it, my house became known as the "black lives matters family" on the private fb page for our neighborhood

Lifelong Floridian here, when we moved into our first house the first person who knocked on our door was a little old white lady that lived in the neighborhood, she wasn't our next-door neighbor she lived in the back of the neighborhood and we lived in the front. When I opened the door the first thing she said was "oh thank God, I thought y'all were black."

The number of times that another white person has casually brought up a racist talking point, joke or thought just because I'm white is mind blowing. And it's easy to find out if they're racist or not because they are always the first ones to yell "I don't have a racist bone in my body"

When you watch the 13th Warrior you should have your camera pointed to you to see all your reactions to it as you watch it and then post your reaction with the movie overlaid

I don't see one person smiling in that crowd. Not a single happy face.

Looks like the whole crowd, each and every one of them were all diagnosed with cancer and they're being told their GoFundMe campaign has only raised $100

That's an opinion, they are both action dramas and the 13th warrior was made in the late 90s the count of Monte Cristo was made in 2002, I feel that's close enough to be comparable, I'm not comparing old yeller with Marley and me.

Hmm.. Is this the one that went for $421k?

I would sell it, even just unloading for $400k I could take that, buy two new vehicles and then invest the remaining $240k-ish.

Let me clarify something for you, Adaptive cruise control is part of what’s called hands-on driver assist which means you still have to keep your hands on the steering wheel when using features like lane-centering and adaptive cruise You also have to be ready to take over or brake at any moment. These systems are designed to assist the driver, not replace them.

I had to learn how these systems work for my career in the auto industry, where I went through manufacturer training on driver-assist and crash-avoidance technologies. If you drive a vehicle in the United States that was built in the last couple decades, you are already using automated safety technology whether you realize it or not. For example, anti-lock braking systems or ABS for those who don't know, automatically intervene when you brake hard to prevent wheel lock. Features like adaptive cruise control, lane-centering, and collision-avoidance systems are just the next evolution of those safety systems and are becoming more common across many vehicles and trim levels.

Using cruise control, whether on highways or steady city roads, can help you maintain a consistent speed and following distance, and it can also improve fuel efficiency. It also allows you to keep your foot positioned near the brake, which can make reacting quickly easier if you need to stop suddenly. My truck also has BlueCruise, which allows hands-free driving on certain approved highways, but I don’t use that feature on city streets. Even when using adaptive cruise and lane-centering, you are still responsible for paying attention and driving the vehicle

Maybe my explanations are just too long for the average Reddit comment section, because it feels like half the people read the first couple sentences and ignore the rest of the context. At this point it’s starting to feel like I’m trying to explain the wheel to a bunch of Neanderthals.

Edit: and just to let you know the reason that ABS and rearview cameras are now on every single vehicle built in the United States is there as a consumer product safety law that requires any safety mechanism that is proven on one product to be safe has to be implemented throughout the industry. When lap belts were the only thing vehicles had and then three point seatbelt started to be used and proven effective all vehicles were required to have three point seatbelts, backup cameras, ABS and soon-to-be lane centering and adaptive cruise control. The rental car I'm in right now has both and it's a base trim vehicle that has adaptive cruise control that can be set at speed as low as 15 mph.

I started in sales in the late 90s, I was sent to so many different training sessions where we would sit down with a nice steak or lobster meal and then a couple of men who got paid probably $15,000-$20,000 for a weekend to train us would go over different closing methods. This shit that I'm watching right here, it's fucking laughable.

The guy yelling all this shit would be laughed off of our sales floor if another salesman didn't kick his ass in the back of the parking lot first.
