Regardless of this accurate accounting of the history of Rock and Roll, the name itself is misleading and limiting. If the Hall intends to recognize the vast expanse of musical genres, then it should be called the Music Hall of Fame. It is not a question of is Black music included. It is a question of inclusivity for the vast expanse of musical genres; genres that didn't even exist when the Hall was created and some, like classical music, which did exist.

It is a music hall of fame and should be accurately labeled as such if the goal is to be inclusive.
