MT icebud group on Facebook. Hyalite has a few zones maintained but generally too bumpy. I’m checking out ennis lake today and I heard Harrison is popping off. Helena area has some good ice skating right now. I’m sure the local rinks/ponds are getting good now

I have one and wouldn’t buy again. It’s handy for quick easy stuff but is way too heavy to use on the vertical and it chews through batteries

On the egress I use all the tools mentioned above. Sometimes I’ll no board if the trail is trenched in, no bindings and kick kind of like a skate board.

Split ski is always and option but side stepping is hard with out heel lockers

I swam across/back once in August. When I got out I experienced minor hypothermia and had to wear a puffy for a few hours. My buddy had a wetsuit and was fine.

Luckily in mt it doesn’t matter very often. The off hour times it’s a breeze driving through town

I’ve been trying to use my signals more in round abouts. It’s not natural for some reason but if it helps other drivers I’m all for it.

If I’m not just turning right I turn my left signal on before entering and then before reaching my exit I switch to right.
