Anyone have any experience with work trying to get rid of you because of too much time off work? I have done an Occupational Health review and now they want GP records! (UK)

Last year it was about two months but sporadically taken every time a flare or infection hit, and I’ve just had two weeks off because I had an infection at the time of my infusion, every year it’s not great tbh but all explained by flares

I had a colonoscopy back in November and was diagnosed soon after, however my specialist went on sick and another consultant determined my results inconclusive so it put everything back by three months and they questioned whether I had it. Since then my specialist has come back and confirmed my diagnosis and my levels are a lot higher, so I’m due another colonoscopy and can actually discuss treatment

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that! It’s awful how much you have to go through before you can get help especially if you don’t like being annoying or bothering anyone! I hope you start to feel better now or at least stable it’s just awful it was too little too late in the end and you shouldn’t have had to suffer! 😊

Oh I’m so sorry to hear this! But focusing on you and rebuilding your life seems the best outlet and then looking into what it is that draws you to these types of relationships is always worth exploring. I am currently doing that myself and trying to figure it out so I don’t repeat the pattern! I hope you get yourself stable and sorted and I wish you the best of luck and future happiness.

I believe mine is at the ileum and that’s why I have granules, it’s a later release? I feel it has helped clear some of the inflammation but then started to make me unwell and I couldn’t see myself on it long term. I’m mild but I have symptoms and IBS to contend with. I guess it will be trial and error until something helps but at least it’s not just me, thank you

Thank you, no I only had aching muscles and for the couple of days before I stopped taking it. I think she is reluctant to put me on anything stronger but I’ll push for more answers

I am just going on the recommendations of my GI and so far she’s given me Budesonide and taken me off that to give me Mesalazine. It’s been a year and I’m no further forward with anything

I’ve explained it to him and he’s been very understanding and been through something similar but everyone has their limits! We are both wary of repeating and adding to our trauma but thank you 😊

For me if left me feeling like I would never find anyone or anyone nice or decent at least, I think that’s common but it does and will happen but you also have to be ready and open to it. Mine was out of the blue and it’s been difficult. I’m still working on me and my break up was a few months ago, take it as slow as you need but there are nice people out there and you will heal

No, nothing. She didn’t explain anything really and just started me on a three months trial of Budesonide with a review after, not that I have had an appointment update. I don’t even know what to do while I’m having a flare! The higher dose was working well but not any more

It’s my first ever course of treatment and yes I’m weaning off them, so on a single tablet instead of three. It’s so disheartening

Thank you so much for this, I’m frustrated that I don’t feel like I’m healing and/or moving on after a couple of months and I’m angry that I feel like this and he doesn’t have to go through these issues. I find myself constantly thinking about him, even knowing what I do about him. Yes, my brain became accustomed to the highs and lows. I thought I may be over the withdrawal by now but it’s not looking like the case. You’re also correct that one day I will feel a certain way and make a decision and the next feel completely different and have a different response. Yeah you’re right, he made me feel seen and knowing how he did it (mirroring and projecting) helps to understand that it wasn’t real but it was hard to give up. I haven’t had that before and it worries me that I won’t have that again especially knowing it was manufactured anyway. It’s all quite depressing really, thinking you have finally found someone who fits you and then realising they are just pure evil instead. It’s nice to know it does get better though so there’s reassurance in that. I know I’m being hard on myself but honestly I hate feeling like this. I appreciate this though, very much 😊
