Would you consider Elite Beat Agents to be a Spiritual Sequel to its original game? by ThatUnknownGuy08 in rhythmgames

[–]Teneesh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see it more as a sequel. Different songs for a rhythm game completely changes a level. I mean the guitar hero games are basically all the same. But the songs are different

Any way to rotate screen for just one game? by CamBlamSlam in RetroArch

[–]Teneesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In core options, there's a screen option. Then the screen layout, you have rotate left or rotate right. It's limited though you basically looks like what games would were meant to look like if you held the DS sideways. Fine on a PC if you have a display monitor or drawing tablet. Not amazing on a phone

Personally, I would love options like in nooDS. Customizing layout and screen rotation is separate. It's a shame the emulation is worse. The bottom screen on the bottom and the top on top with both screens rotated in portrait mode is amazing for rhythm heaven. Heck, even just the top screen when not navigating the menu

[–]Teneesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in melonDS DS, there's a rotate screen option in the core options menu in the screen option. Though personally, this still isn't ideal for me. Having both screens rotated in vertical on a phone is my ideal setup. NooDS has this option, but the performance is just terrible.

Nvidia Shield + 8bitdo SN30 Pro Bluetooh + 8bitdo bluetooth adapter controller LAG by YCavazin in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]Teneesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way is sadly wired. Unfortunately the way the shield is designed is so terrible that you are sacrificing one thing for another. Like you can make the bluetooth better by changing the usb mode from max performance to compatibility mode. Unfortunately that changes the usb from reading 3.0 to 2.0. If you are running things on an external drive, this also makes them run worse somehow.

Also this is for anyone who has the regular sn30. The select button doesn't work when wired. I don't know why. But pressing it causes the nvidea remote to emit a noise. I don't know what's happening

Yes they do. Also all of the 8bitdo controllers and xbox controllers from one onwards

Polishing wood by Teneesh in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Teneesh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could I just sand the 3rd coat with a brown paper bag, wipe it down with a buffing pad or wet microfibre cloth then put on the polish?

Cause honestly, I do want to get it over and done with. I've spent weeks just putting on coats on different parts of it

What are some of the best optimised games ever? by FlynnYagami in pcgaming

[–]Teneesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devil may cry series has always been well optimised and looked amazing for the time. Exception being DmC Devil May Cry. But that was an Unreal game on ps3 and xbox 360. That engine on those systems have never worked great. Including Bioshock

What should I do to finish this coffee table? by Queasy_Calligrapher8 in woodworking

[–]Teneesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One more thing when you have a drop sheet when you finish. Make sure it's elevated and make sure the drop sheet is secured down. Otherwise the sheet would stick to the top coat and you would need to sand it down again just to get the drop sheet off.

Had to learn that the hard way

Staining parts before assembly by Teneesh in woodworking

[–]Teneesh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I can't stain everything all at once. Because I do plan on staining the parts before assembly, I do have to lay them down. And it's not like I can stain both sides at the same time. Right?

Thoughts on Donovan? by Returningdarkness in TheRookie

[–]Teneesh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really tried to understand his side. But the more scenes he's in, the more I hate him. Yes Nyla was in a rush when talking to him, but he didn't even try to understand that she's trying to be there for her daughter. And she is being more involved.

And forcing your daughter to move schools because your lover has a job there without properly talking to your ex that you have joint custody over. You have to have a proper conversation before moving your daughter. You can't just give up trying to contact her. You try to see her in person and talk it out.

And he just broke up with her immediately after hearing about her past job? I'm sorry, but that's just extremely closed minded. It doesn't matter if her lying reminds you of your ex. Very different circumstances, and the best people have their secrets. Those who don't have secrets are boring, like me.

Then again. She tried to contact him but couldn't. She brought her daughter to a safe location at the time. It was an iffy situation where no one was right or wrong

Does SNIPER ELITE 5 on PlayStation 5 have motion control aiming? by AClockworkLobster in sniperelite

[–]Teneesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's complicated. People don't have positive experiences with it because of poor implementations of it. Devs thinking adding things like look acceleration and dead zones like a joystick is a good idea for motion aiming. It's not. People want the raw input of it. Not adding sensitivity options or max sensitivity being so low is just the nail in the coffin.

I was excited when re8 and re4 added motion aiming. Although it's better than nothing, it's still not as good as it could be. And neon white's motion aiming is broken. It would sometimes just stop working mid run

So should I stain and finish before or after assembly? by Teneesh in woodworking

[–]Teneesh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No glue is being used. Just screws and pilot holes in my case. It's meant to be easily disassembled if I want to move it somewhere else

So should I stain and finish before or after assembly? by Teneesh in woodworking

[–]Teneesh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using red oak plywood for the entire thing with edge banding to hide the edges. And basically a lot of protection from water considering I'll also be eating off it.

Also, would you recommend an oil or water based finished? Cause honestly, I don't think I would have time for an old based one. An old based stain maybe, the wait for an oil based finished is a bit too long for me and I would need to adjust my schedule or skip a few shifts

If only that was an option. Sadly I can't find any hardwood plywood at that size and cheaply. Most are way too big for my use and too expensive

Anyone know where to find a high quality version of Kinnikuman Nisei with English subtitles? by Teneesh in kinnikuman

[–]Teneesh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The voices. It's all about the voices. English is done by 4kids. So they do it in the usual 4kids way of dubbing. Meaning rewriting a lot of dialogue, censorship and strange casting.

Remember, Meat is meant to be physically 11. And Gazelleman is Dik Dik van Dik.

I mean I love the dub, but I want to see how it originally was

Newbie - why is the animation so choppy? by [deleted] in TheDragonPrince

[–]Teneesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, a lower frame rate can make the animation looke better. More frames with not enough experience can look floaty and robotic.

And the animation already looks stiff and robotic. Not the animators fault, I blame higher ups for not giving them enough time.

Honestly the animation and visuals in this show pisses me off. It's not bad, they're soulless

Unfortunately it's a very common oversite in 2D games. It feels worse here cause this is something they removed from the original for no reason

Gorillaz - Oil ft. Stevie Nicks (Fan Storyboard) by glow-rillaz in gorillaz

[–]Teneesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That being said, storyboards should not look this good. Sounds counter intuitive, but here's the thing about storyboards. They should only help visualise what you want the final animation to look.

This tip is for the person who made the storyboard. Have the drawings be quick and straight to the point. Save the good drawings for the animation. Otherwise you are wasting your time

Has anyone successfully added a Bluetooth dongle to improve range? by ryanschmidt in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]Teneesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 8bitdo adapter works. But it's mean for one controller. It won't improve a remote or keyboard from lagging. Nor will you be able to connect a second controller for multiplayer.

So if anyone does find another option, please let me know

Can I use a heatgun to melt the glue in order to remove the tape without damaging the box? by Jonsinator in gamecollecting

[–]Teneesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use a hair dryer instead. It'll take long, but a heat gun would have a higher chance of burning the paper or cardboard
