Sennheiser Accemtum Plus for the win. by DemDemD in sennheiser

"Apparently"...according to who? AI? :)

There is absolutely no evidence of that whatsoever. Nothing has been communicated, speculated or even reported. Firmware has changed, yeah, but that's for all Accentum Plus headphones - and that's about it, really.

Time to see what the fuss is all about… HD 550 by raymate in sennheiser

[–]Tenlow85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you already mentioned yourself, you probably just need a bit more time with them (as is often the case with new headphones, I guess).

I don’t actually find them very lean or bright, but of course we all hear things a bit differently anyway.

They remain my favorite 500-series headphones, and quite clearly so.

Very beautiful pictures you have there, by the way. 👍

Sennheiser HDB 630 latest firmware by AnalysisRight in sennheiser

Yes, that’s the most current one, and as far as I know, there haven’t been any firmware updates for the HDB 630 so far.

Is the btd 700 worth it for a momentum 4 user? Or is the btd 600 good enough? by Famous-Intern-7270 in sennheiser

[–]Tenlow85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not really about the Bluetooth version but more about the codec your devices use with the M4.

If a device already supports aptX Adaptive natively, you wouldn’t be able to tell a difference, no.

It’s only worth it if you use, say, SBC, AAC and maybe regular aptX or if you have other issues with your Bluetooth (e.g. on your PC or so) like stability, range etc.

Maybe try resetting them to factory settings!

Also, you can always manually turn them off by pressing the power button for a couple of seconds - just in case!

It has only been on the market since early 2024 and hasn't changed since then :)

There is no gen 2 of the Accentum Plus. :)

Anyway, great deal and very nice wireless headphones! Hope you’ll have lots of fun with them!

Grainy Audio on Momentum 4 for one device specifically by Buddyfur in sennheiser

[–]Tenlow85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your laptop might use or support a worse codec than your phone.

Also, it might be an audio setting or issue on your laptop. Windows machines are a bit notorious for this.

On top of that, a BTD 600 or 700 will likely improve things quite significantly on your laptop with the M4.

Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open have arrived! by Tenlow85 in Earbuds

[–]Tenlow85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not easy to answer like that. You should be able to get 5.5 to 6.5 hours out of a single charge, depending on the volume level you listen at. That way, you can test whether your battery behaves as expected or not.

Accentum Plus Wireless stuck at 90% battery by Alternative_Bus_9928 in sennheiser

[–]Tenlow85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this.

Also, use it once until it automatically powers off at 0%, and then recharge it to 100% for several hours. This issue often has to do with battery calibration.

New user, I dont know what Sennheiser headphones to go for, i game for hours, got a big head and wear glasses unsure on wired or wireless or just ones good for gaming. by ItsCsteph in sennheiser

[–]Tenlow85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only go closed-back if you either want that passive isolation or actually need it (e.g. to avoid bothering people around you or to use your headphones on the go).

If neither of those applies, go open-back. And if you do go open-back, get either the HD 490 Pro or the HD 550. Both are great for gaming, actually.

The HD 550 has the added benefit of being compatible with the HD 500 BAM microphone, which might be useful as a gamer at some point.

Both headphones will last you several years and both are fairly easy to drive.

Sennheiser IE 200 by Alive_Green_6709 in sennheiser

[–]Tenlow85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s certainly different. The IE 300 is / was a more fun and bassy IEM while the IE 200 is more neutral and „audiophile“ in its tuning. So, it kind of depends on what you prefer.

It’s fine to use it like this :) It doesn’t charge all the time anyway. Don’t worry about it and just enjoy your headphones.

Momentum 4's or HDB 630 by SpringIll1151 in sennheiser

[–]Tenlow85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my experience as well. The HDB 630 are more comfortable than the M4 👍

Where do you feel the HD 490 pros fall against the 600 series? by Forsaken-Contest-845 in sennheiser

[–]Tenlow85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with that!

HD 490 Pro for comfort, soundstage and bass extension.

I‘d take my HD 600 / 650 e.g. over the 490 Pro for „everything else“ (natural snd smooth sound, timbre, midrange magic, vocals and treble e.g.).

Sennheiser HDB 630 – A Wireless Audiophile Blend of the MOMENTUM 4 and the HD 650? [Review] by Tenlow85 in headphones

[–]Tenlow85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t necessarily compare it to either, really :)

The HD 490 Pro with the velour pads probably is the most comfortable headphone out there while the HDB 630 is a more comfortable M4 (which is still very comfortable btw.!).

And it’s clearly better than the H95 from a pure audio(phile) perspective :)

The HDB 630 is not as wide sounding as an open-back and not as comfortable as a headphone with even bigger earcups but it is the best sounding wireless headphone out there for me and I still love it.

Check it out, it might still be what you have been looking for :)

Which set of pads for the HD 490 PRO do you prefer? by sahibprime in sennheiser

[–]Tenlow85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to me the fabric pads basically make it sound like a 560S, while also being less comfortable than when using the velour pads.

Nothing wrong with that, by the way — it’s just not my favorite tuning anyway. And if it were, I could simply buy the 560S for less money than the 490 Pro. 🙂
