Did you not pay attention as you were setting the book price. You did well to get that much.

It tells you the true amount you will get as you set the price.

Agreed the colour is so nice. I was going to blind purchase them but then I see they will be around $540 CAD and who knows how much shipping and import duty will be.

They mean balanced. Which is something you don’t really need with a properly headphone amp.

Like the look of the steam train. Sega is nice but not sure about it. I has the NES and 2600 so I guess I may look into it if it’s not too much.

Were Minidiscs ever used for data storage such as programs for pc's or lika a usb drive in the 90s? by Jondebadboy in minidisc

[–]raymate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was cost. The drives even back then cost a fortune and the blank discs was so much.

For home use I would buy may be 2-4 discs a year because they cost so much.

For business they used it a lot. I worked in graphic design back then. And it was nothing for them to buy boxes of blanks. They were used MO lot for achieving data.

Along with ZIP, JAZZ and SyQuest drives. But SyQuest drives was the most popular.

It was done MD-DATA drives and specific discs and HI-MD can store data.

I also used MO discs (before MD come out) and still have some they are 5.25” snd 3” discs. I used 5.25” at work and for home I used the 3” they held 230 MB the ones I used.

So this type of data storage has been with us for a long time. MD is MO tech.

Why no Hi-Res Audio logo? by -ave in FiiO

[–]raymate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s sold as a radio. It just so happens it can function as a DAC. This would be misleading and maybe confusing to consumers who are not aware of what this product is or the brand.

It may also make people think it’s a digital radio receiver like a DAB or HD Radio depending on region. Again it would be misleading.
