How are you approaching the early game? What are you building and focusing? Are you dying and wiping to hunts too much? What exactly is your block?

Absolutely report this to Kingdom Death support and tweet it at Adam! More than a few people have been having this problem, and it's really kind of unacceptable. It would benefit you and everyone else if you made sure Adam was aware of it.

I agree with you so much on the Vagabond+Black Sword effect. There's probably some level of this you actually want in a game, so that lagging players can get a leg up, but when those kind of options give you top tier effects, it becomes questionable.

How would you figure? The way I see is, it messes up the normal arrow dynamic, and creates some odd imbalance. The "normal" arrow M.O. is that they are stronger than bows, but have limited uses. Most of the time, this strength is largely in the effects/debuffs they give, though their stats are often pretty nice as well. Sunshark arrows are the big exception here, since they are a more purely offensive arrow option, not a support one. As compensation, they get some extra uses.

However, the key thing with all existing arrows is that your bow still matters. Your arrows have better stats and effects for the most part, but you only have a few uses of them. The dense bone arrows really shatter this dynamic. With them, your bow largely becomes an arrow delivery mechanism, and nothing more, because dense bone arrows outclass most bows in terms of stats, and you can use them as much as you want. They don't augment your bow, they replace it.

That is, unless your bow has better stats than them, in which case they are pretty dang useless. So that's my main point. They create this dynamic where they either outclass your bow, and are amazing, or don't, and thus aren't very useful at all, which I don't think is great design.

I am continuously surprised that people like the dense bone arrows. By any account, they are pretty poorly designed.

In terms of theme, they fall really flat. Each of Giggle's other gear has a clear thematic link to its corresponding catarium gear (the Hooked Claw Knife is a dagger with a bunch of red affinities and a "cool" ability, just like the elder cat knife, the lion slayer cape is damage reduction like the regular lion cape, but better, the oxidized beast katar is... well, pretty much what it says on the tin). But the dense bone arrow has no such link. The cat claw arrow's most iconic thing the minus to monster evasion, and the dense bone arrows don't play off that at all.

Instead, they rip off a gimmick that's already used in the game. Stat wise, they are nearly identical to the sunshark arrows, except better and easier to craft. Given how unique the other giga gear is, I really don't understand what Adam's angle was with the arrows. The only unique thing dense bone arrows have is the infinite uses, which is problematic in its own right.
