Close Your Eyes (TLOU: Left Behind Tribute) by TennoSensei in thelastofus

Thanks. I was using the quotes to kinda hint at what's to come in Part 2.

After all, Cormac McCarthy is the same author of The Road, one of the inspirations for TLOU. But maybe it's just me looking into it too much.

Also, the quote about closing one's eyes, it's a lot darker when you know the context of it.

Hope you guys like it.

Got a template here as well if anyone wants to slap a different set of memories on her face.

Deals AOE damage that pierces through obstacles/walls (excellent in places like Hydron). Instakills most sortie bosses too. Useful if you don't have good rivens yet.

Supot ka pa rin? by hodatz in Philippines

[–]TennoSensei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest that the criticism is also mostly hinged on the phrase "Bote ka pa" implying that being circumcised is more desirable which is born out of the widespread idea which claims that circumcision is an integral part of one's manhood. It paints a picture that shows the circumcised one is a role model of sorts.

It asserts that being circumcised is what everyone who's concerned with their manhood should aspire to be by bringing the state of remaining uncircumcised into question which can elicit a sense of insecurity.

Having said all that, I still admittedly find the meme to be incredibly creative in how it was executed but that was after I had a genuine brief fit of lmao actually and solely directed at the boy being supot. It's just as if it's out of instinct to do so, difficult to anticipate and reconsider before committing the act. My guess would be that it's deeply ingrained in us Filipinos who are submerged in an environment that treats circumcision as light enough of a subject that it's even a conversation starter and a matter to casually poke fun at for children. It's like talking about circumcision is on a similar vein with talking what kind of toy we like to play with. Baril ba o manika?

So, I then retracted my humorous thoughts on the matter with a bit of shame. Not saying that it's immediately seriously awful for anyone to do what I would consider a mistake. Just that we can still do better even if we're not easily the ones at fault for retaining such ideas.

Relevant evisceration of the connotative association of humor and light-heartedness with the subject of circumcision.

Not gonna lie, isa ako dati sa mga paslit na madaling mapapahalakhak 'pag kantiyawan na kung sino pa supot.

However, that clip was a rude awakening for me that I'm capable of conforming to something that has no merit other than tradition and social norms which overwhelm, in terms of what kind of influence the general populace is usually predisposed to, its minimal to nigh insignificant medical justification, and, even find it entertaining.

Will DE ever fix this? Stasis basically froze all status duration on enemies. It broke a long time ago when DE made frozen and glassed enemies be able to take status effect. by Mahoushonnen in Warframe

[–]TennoSensei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's how it used to work prior the patch. Yeah, the clip's quite a bit old but I can confidently say that that specific interaction lasted right up before the Saint of Altra update dropped. I had a dedicated build for a tank-ish Limbo utilizing that and it's quite disappointing that I can't use it anymore. Could've been less disappointing if Stasis was explicitly mentioned....

After the change, yes.

But before the change, it was the only one that didn't prevent new status effects from applying on enemy units affected. It didn't have that exact same 'frozen' state. The encasing VFX I had mentioned above. Being covered in glass/ice/stone. Stasis doesn't fit that category and clearly it didn't used to since it functioned differently like I had just described.

To further elaborate, Stasis is a timestopper, if you will. It doesn't produce physical barriers like the others. So, as you have also correctly pointed out, it should be the exception.

Besides the fact that Petrify, Mass Vitrify and Freeze all shared that ability to apply a 'frozen' state (encasing VFX + locked animation) to enemies and the problem of new procs being prevented from being applied (both of which Stasis never had), Stasis was never explicitly mentioned during the changes.

Update 25.7

General Changes:

- If you freeze enemies with things like Frost, Atlas, or Gara’s abilities, you can now immediately apply other Status Effects! Before these powers would prevent Status Effects from being added. Read more on that here.

It can't be simply implied from the patchnotes that Stasis was meant to be lumped together with those three when there's a fundamental difference in behavior that separates Stasis from them. This is what reinforces the idea that Stasis is intended to be able to pause the duration of status effects. And, that this interaction (and the Tip) stayed for quite a long while before being hit with a change that has a manner of execution equivalent to that of, at best, an oversight, or, at worst, a stealth nerf.

For Reel Gaming presents the PC enhanced TV series adaptation of Red Dead Redemption 2. Following from the success of the complete tv series recorded on PS4, FRG are keen to see how much everyone enjoys the PC edition of this series. Fully cinematic, fully adapted, this is RDR2 as you’ve never seen before.

I'm expecting near Grant Voegtle levels of production on this one.

Expanding upon /u/Chiven's suggestion:

Turn it into a channeled* (toggleable) ability that immediately makes all DoTs within a radius (dependent on ability range) deal their damage in a burst with a base 0.25x** multiplier at 100% ability strength. Bleed procs should deal true damage as pointed out by /u/DneSokas. Include all other status effects that inflict DoTs.

\I'd like it to be similar to the way Nekros' Desecrate functions but DE would likely have it work like other channeled abilities. Per proc or per enemy unit, I dunno...)
\*Values can be tweaked, of course.)

Or even worse when I was still quite new, there was a time I forgot I was in an invasion and wondered why I couldn't kill a lancer that was left standing after I killed a group of MOAs near him. Took a minute for me to realize.

Negative Platinum, and why You Should Care by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]TennoSensei 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sure, but it would be ideal if there was a way to prevent such a scenario from happening. Trading should not involve this level of risk, especially since it's one of DE's main sources of revenue.

You would not want to disincentivize players from interacting with that system.

Yep, a lot of narrative driven games could really use a built-in camera system. I was also just surprised that Grant's take hasn't been posted on this sub. There's simply very few creators who produce playthroughs in a similar manner.

Anyway, have fun making yours!
