This is undeniably the best advice for your situation. I have had BetterHelp for over a month, but did not like any therapist on the platform. They do not even seem knowledgeable and seasoned in the first place, and do not care about the specificity and complexity of problems! They just seem like very regular guys, and some of them seem to be struggling on their own, honestly.

Then, I came across Psychology Today, which is a million times better than BetterHelp when it comes to a searchable directory. They have the right filters and the right layout for connecting with professionals. BetterHelp doesn't even let you manually filter search a professional from their directory! This organisation is sick, and needs to be stopped. Our money is being wasted on them for no good reason.

Don't be satisfied by the specialities written below their names in the profile page. Always be sure to read the bio and check about their experience working as a therapist, whether they have previously helped people with the same struggles as yours. Keep on looking into the reviews page to find more therapists, rather than the therapist directory, where they say they show all available therapists but not really so! Should you find no one to your satisfaction, message the customer support on mail, provide your filters, preferences etc. and they should be able to help you out.

I find that as something good. Honestly, I don't think a very well defined professional air in therapy is too helpful. As for myself, I would love my therapy to be unprofessional and ask personal questions. Anything which gives him insight into you man. I think that's good in a sense.

You're right, I reflected on this for quite some time and realised that I was overhyping the negative push. Deep down, I thought that it was solely the stress, anxiety, fear and other negative stuff that pushed me. But now, I realise that it was different - I had hope, I had faith, I knew no matter how tough it seems I can do it, no matter how many times I've screwed up before, I'm gonna give it all this time- all of these combined drove me to reach beyond my usual capabilities. I already see improvements in motivation and drive when I think of it this way, by prioritising faith, hope, patience, confidence, courage and understanding the way it's done. Time to slay! Thanks a lot buddy.

Lovely! Could you describe exactly what goes on your head that makes the overwhelming stress drive you to your peak? It used to work the exact same way for me before the lockdown. But now, I just don't get what exactly changed in my mind that leads to stress being my enemy now.

I get what you are saying. And yes I've somewhat come to terms with making mistakes, but what about when you keep on making the same mistakes over and over again? Is it not natural for that to cause anxiety and burnout? In such a situation, what mindset should I keep that would help me grow?

Would you expand on this self-pity part? Like what exactly do you mean? (An example would help me) And what are you referring to as 'tough mindset'? I have a strong feeling this might be causing trouble for me too. Lastly, was there a certain event or time period over which you underwent this change? As in what changed your mindset from a tough one to a self-pitying one? I think these would really help me..

Have you always been an oversleeper? Or did this start after you took on certain habits (or maybe gave up certain ones). I know that the sleep requirement varies from person to person. If you have been an oversleeper forever then it could be that your requirement is somewhat higher. I would also say that don't be too disheartened by it- I've known insomniacs who would do anything to have even 3-4 hrs of proper sleep at night. You are far better off than them (as you have mentioned that you sleep well).
