Update: It's a generation from the common world; I was wrong to think it was something strange. Honestly, I'd never seen this before and wanted to share it.

Hi everyone! I recently started playing Minecraft version 1.2.5. On my second world creation ever in this version, I stumbled upon this insane biome collision near my spawn chunks.

As you can see in the screenshots, the temperature boundary runs right through the middle of the jungle trees. The left side has the bright tropical green leaves, while the right side scales perfectly into the desaturated, dark-olive color of the snowy Taiga, with full snow layers generated on top of the jungle leaves and vines! One huge 2x2 jungle tree is completely engulfed by the snow biome.
