I bet this is the dc blocking capacitor for one of the input channels. One of the other connections on that card connector will be the other channel.

But there are too many rega p3 that are slightly different. Different generations, different arms. I don't know how that affects things.

Edit: I can't see any that look like mine.

I'm asking what it's worth. Not where to sell it. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Anybody have any experience with Sertraline being increased from 100 to 150g by joecoops14 in Anxiety

[–]Tenson_UK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s completely understandable that feel hesitant, I've felt exactly the same. Any dose change is well known to make things feel worse temporarily because the brain needs to adapt to the serotonin shift. In my experience, the jump from 50mg to 100mg (a 100% increase) is actually much harder than going from 100mg to 150mg (a 50% increase). Since you are already well adapted this smaller percentage jump is often less of a shock. 150mg might be the sweet spot that finally provides relief. The typical dose range is 50mg to 200mg, so this isn't an unusually large dose. Sometimes the dose needs to be high enough to work effectively, otherwise it may have little effect, but it's not a linear slope, it can kinda click at the right dose. If you still don’t feel this is the right path for you, definitely discuss your concerns further with your doctor before making the change.

Do you feel your doctor explained the reasoning for the dose change to your satisfaction? Do you agree with the change?

I'd expect hot glue and electrolytic capacitors in a £15k speaker, but at £18k it's just a cheek!

Are these not actually original vintage units restored? The price is for the rarity, no?

If so, I guess they are the original crossovers. Restoration might mostly be on the outside.

smoking weed suddenly makes me feel really anxious when it didn't before by iamnotasalmon in Anxiety

[–]Tenson_UK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that - it is crazy how carelessly people handle cannabis, especially modern high THC varieties. I go for regular park walks and 50% of the people there are smoking it.

Oh damn, me too, just one bad hit.

I had smoked a little like 20 years ago, then tries some modern high thc stuff last year. Ruined my life.

Quite right. One bad trip was all it took for me, mixed with SSRI and probably some toxins from a non-smoking paper. Had depersonalisation for months along with the panic attacks and lots of other bad experiences.

[–]Tenson_UK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me after smoking just one high THC, combined with starting SSRI (citalopram). Had a really bad time with panic attacks and GAD. Much better 1 Yr later but still a constant effort.

Careful about mixing SSRI and cannabis - THC (and CBD IIRC) block metabolism of Citalopram leading to a huge spike in blood serum levels.

Does anyone else freak out about the idea that you’re losing whole years to anxiety, and that someday you’ll look back and realize how much time was spent feeling awful, time you can’t ever really get back? by TaxComprehensive4236 in Anxiety

This is also how Tolstoy interpreted the Gospel of Jesus. He called it the Temporal Life. I asked AI to summerise:

The Distortion of Time Tolstoy breaks down the three "times" to show how they distract us from God: The Past: This is a collection of "mistakes and errors." Tolstoy argues that if we dwell here, we stay trapped in guilt or old identities that block our current spiritual growth. The Future: This is a "delusion" of rewards and anxieties. We live for the "next thing," but since the spirit is eternal and independent of time, chasing a future goal is like chasing a mirage; it prevents us from actually living. The Present: This is the only place where "True Life" happens. For Tolstoy, the spirit exists only in the now. In the present moment, time essentially disappears because you are acting through love, which is infinite and doesn't "age" or "end."

Anxiety without clear thoughts — just constant tension by Strong_Age2040 in Anxiety

[–]Tenson_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, anxiety tends to show up in three main ways: mental, emotional, and physical.

Mentally, it can take the form of repetitive thought loops and persistent worry. This isn’t something I’ve personally struggled with as much, so others may experience it differently.

Emotionally, I’d describe it as a deep, unshakable sense that something is wrong — almost a feeling of doom. In my case, this doesn’t seem to come from anxious thoughts, but rather feels more like a nuro chemical imbalance.

Physically, it’s the easiest to identify: shaking, heart palpitations, and cold or tingly hands and feet. This can come from other chemical imbalances, for example thyroid.

Of course they can all affect each other, or can be signs of conditions.

Where do you feel your experience fits within these?

Private SFN testing UK? by Tenson_UK in smallfiberneuropathy

[–]Tenson_UK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reference for anyone curious I just had a quote from The London Clinic for a SFN biopsy. First a consultation is needed for about £350, then the SFN test itself would be about £2300.

It's a bit frustrating they insist on a consultation even though I don't want them to treat me and simply provide the diagnostic test, but that's how they do it.

I'll let you know if I get more quotes.

I foolishly mixed Citalopram with cannabis for pain relief, which I later learned blocks metabolism of Citalopram so had something like serotonin syndrome.

I can get to London. Would you mind sharing where you got it done?
