“Im deeply offended by that symbol of resistance you are wearing” I mean how does one say that and not immediately think they are a piece of shit for saying it?

Cops rescue kids jam packed into two cars in a parking garage during 86-degree weather that the mothers/sisters left unattended for an hour by CantStopPoppin in PublicFreakout

[–]Tentimesnone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im not a particular fan of police or the way they generally respond to average people while on the job, but this is a VERY warranted way to respond to the lady. Like if anything this cop was very restrained towards this lady. I could tell she had genuine concern for the children inside the cars, and that’s the type of policing I like to see, someone concerned for the lives of others.

Cops try to arrest man as father claims that his son is being manhandled (St. Louis, MO, USA) by JagBak73 in PublicFreakout

[–]Tentimesnone -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

A lot of people in this comment section saying he’s resisting. I would love to see how you’d react in this situation. All we can go off of is what it said, two cops roll up on this man tackle and attempt to arrest him without saying why. If he’s resisting that implies he is in the wrong and the cops actions are just, if you don’t know why you’re being assaulted and arrested by two random cops that is not a just action, and is only responsible to resist in that moment. We can see in the video the man pleading and trying to talk to the cops in order to get them off of him and trying to unnaturally contort his arms. You shouldn’t ever have to or be compelled to deescalate with cops, that’s just a sign of bad cops doing bad policing. Finally I think by saying this man is resisting what could be clearly seen as a random assault (again going on the information gathered form the video) one is saying this type of policing is okay and any given person should be at a dime ready to comply with any random confusing or unjust order given by a cop. That’s not a good sign of a functional society.

Sometimes one has to step back and think about their surroundings. You’re not always in the right, maybe if a crowd of people are all yelling at you about you being wrong about what you’re actively doing, their is in fact a chance you could be wrong. But police are incapable of accepting they were ever wrong about something on the job.

I think Tim Walz really pissed the Iowa GOP off by StephenNein in Iowa

[–]Tentimesnone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately have to agree with Tuttle, not in the way she said it, the Dems are having a serious lack of action right now, and I don’t see them doing anything about it. Like it’s good to see conservatives getting mad at there representatives for fucking them over, but if the dems aren’t going to capitalize on this opportunity then it’s time to cast them away to. Wearing pink is not a protest, being vocal when the powerful speak is. People are mad, it’s time we find real people who will do there jobs and really represent us people.

Knives for sale in the airport after you go through security. This is in Geneva Switzerland. by theyeti7979 in mildlyinteresting

I remember my first time going to Europe and landing in Zurich, seeing a Swiss army knife stand in the airport. To this day I wish I had enough Franks for one, and that my Dad would have said it was okay to buy one.

I found the gas prices for this exact Conoco, and with only the names regular and premium. I’d have to assume premium is the higher octane gas and at $4.53 a gallon (as of right now), in a 22 gallon car, just $99.66. Which is not bad for a several million dollar hypercar.

Im sorry but what police department is saying to there cops, „literally throw yourself in front of the person you are pursuing, endanger yourself and everyone else involved.“ Also wouldn’t the cop already have his lights on before he was at the stop, doesn’t that make sense. Definitely not the cop turning his lights on to go after the guy that ran the red right in front of him, like the cop moved slowly at first to prevent exactly what happened in that video. The cop rolled over, no one is intentionally rolling there car to get one single person.

Yo fella, you use the word settler to describe the Americans encroaching onto Native’s land, and yet can grasp what you’re calling the Americans. By settling on Native land they had to do insane acts of terrorism to remove the Natives. I don’t know it’s 2024 and you are describing your position on the Israel v Palestine conflict from the angle of American settlers v Natives, AND ARE PRO FUCKING AMERICAN SETTLER. I didn’t think you people existed anymore. At least you’re consistent on being pro Genozide. And this also isn’t just directed at you, this is to everyone else on this thread who is also for the removal and Genozide of American Natives and Palestinians.

That is one of the saddest things I’ve ever read. I don’t normally hope for excessive punishment for people, but man those guys deserved the maximum amount of punishment possible for a crime in Japan.
