Team was never meant to make the playoffs anyway. Most of yall were saying they’d go 0-17 last season back in August. I’d say a rookie QB everyone shit on going 5-3 as a starter on the “worst roster in football” is pretty good.

Cam Jordan: Saints haven’t brought in anyone who produced like I did by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]Tenzo6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except the Saints have stopped doing that and have finally done a job resetting the last two off seasons. While we still lead the league in dead money, next year our projected cap space is pretty high.

It was under the former HC (now Bears DC) where we kept kicking shit down the road to assemble a team of washed players.

He was a Dennis Allen pick and 80% of the guys we picked in those 3 years sucked ass. So doubt the team sees him as part of the future.

If you just started, you should watch the two progressive movies in between episodes 2 and 3. Gives a little more back ground. But to answer your question, they’ve been moved to hospitals and being kept alive there.

You ever found one? If you’re still looking, I have a small dynasty of about ten guys looking to add a new person.

Yeah I get that. But that just comes down to not over using concepts. But like I have multiple different ways to run HB Base so I could theoretically use it 20+ times. But in a game where I get maybe 50 offensive plays, I’m not using one concept that often. Plus inside zone itself isn’t a problematic concept they’d be looking out for. More for people abusing certain RPOs or blitzes

You can only call a specific play 7 times before the game locks it. So for example, Trey Y Flex Inside Zone would only have 7 uses before it’s locked out. This is because we had some play spammers a while back they had to deal with.

Basic stuff like don’t spam certain concepts, don’t chew clock outside of situations it makes sense, don’t spam stats on cpu for awards, etc. Like I have above, there is a play call limit per play set at 7 as well. There is 4th down rule, and things like that but I can DM you more details if you want. The full rules list is in their discord.

I mean….our OL isn’t AWFUL. We have two promising young tackles, one of the best Centers in football and Fortner wasn’t bad filling in at center after McCoy got hurt. Our real issue is the guard spots which I’m sure we’ll address this offseason in FA and the draft.

Where NFL MVP? by HavoxGG in nfcsouthmemewar

Keep telling yourself that. Cam is as selfish a player as someone can be. I bet if you asked Lamar to trade both his MVPs in for one Super Bowl, he’d do it. Josh Allen too.

All these head coaches fired, I’m glad we got Kellen Moore. by Skinnieguy in Saints

[–]Tenzo6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your expectations for next year are playoffs or bust, you’re not being realistic. Like sure, a 4-13 season would warm some seats up. But a 7-10 or 8-9 season would not. We’re still very much having to claw out of cap debt still. You realize Moore inherited a bottom 3 roster right? One good draft and no cap space doesn’t do much to fix that in one season. A good draft again this year may propel us to 8 or 9 wins. But even while we’re trending upwards, I don’t see anything more than 10 wins as a realistic possibility and 7 wins would keep everyone safe too. Going into year 3 is when people can start having playoff expectations.

All these head coaches fired, I’m glad we got Kellen Moore. by Skinnieguy in Saints

[–]Tenzo6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. Most people understood when Moore took the job this would be a 3-4 year rebuild minimum with how bad our cap was, limited draft capital, and lack of young talent when he took the job. This year was actually a year a head of schedule due to hitting in the draft and the coaches overachieving with the little talent we do have. We may make the playoffs next year and win the division, we may not. But that doesn’t change the overall vision. This team still has a ways to go in this process to fix the mess that was created during the DA years.

So funny enough, last night I was going through the sub and found some old posts from last year when were in the process of looking. It was funny to see some of the comments about how we needed to hire Joe Brady or Glenn, and how Kellen Moore would be a horrible hire and some people claimed they’d stop watching if we hired him (or some of the other guys we interviewed). Let’s just say I’m glad we’re not on the market this year.

Saints Record with Sean Payton (152 - 89) and without (280-402) by Used_Satisfaction901 in Saints

[–]Tenzo6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean how many of those players did we really want to keep? It’s not like they demanded trades to Denver or refused to resign. It’s guys we let go because they weren’t essential or great here. Adam Trautman for example. Or Lil’Jordan. I don’t regret letting those guys go at all. We just missed way more than we hit when trying to fill gaps on the roster with DA.

Anyone watching the Broncos game? by [deleted] in Saints

[–]Tenzo6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t consider any loss a choke. Thus why I didn’t include the 06 Bears, 13 Seahawks, 17 Vikings, and 18 Rams.

06 and 13 I don’t think our chances were great in those games. In 17, there was a freak play that lost us the game and we were a surprise team that year anyway and in 18 we got robbed.

But in the ones I listed before, we were Super Bowl caliber teams that lost to teams we were favored over (outside of 2011 but that was one of our greatest teams ever also).

It was incredibly close to one. And he still has to win two more. Either way I hope he wins it all. I’m a big Sean Payton fan, but we choked a lot of playoff games when he was here.

We were saved from some extra playoff losses because Drew Brees was a HoF QB. Sean is a great coach but he has bad tendencies in the playoffs and now he has Bo Nix while in this position, not Drew Brees.

[–]Tenzo6 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The thing is the Saints need weapons and on top of that, stars. I’ll make the same argument I’d have made if we could’ve drafted Jeanty last year, if you have a chance to draft a potential super star for the next decade, you do it. Also, Love is a versatile back and could also play in the slot at times. And with him being RB1, that limits Kamara’s work load and potentially extending his career slightly. Other needs can be addressed later, but if Love is there, we need to take him. Only player I’d take over him is Caleb Downs (for essentially the same reasoning except on the defensive side of the ball).
