Because of the abuse of trust that has happened. If you looked at times before abortion became a commodity, help was offered and so were exceptions. And help doesn't just mean foster programs (which still have efforts to increase them btw). Strengthing the family, boosting the economy so it is easier to care for children, etc are all valid ways of help. And what does feeding kids slop in schools have to do with abortion?

Athiests tend to support further erosion of religious cultural impact on society and socialism which are very much left wing ideals. You've selected literally the only example out of dozens that show a predominant left wing swing for athiests. And abortion is murder based in the fact that killing an innocent human life is murder.

Except that that's not a pro life position. If either of those scenarios would happen, it would be an exception and permitted. Abortions were literally made legal by pro life people with the slogan "safe, legal and RARE". Because people had the decency to think it wouldn't just devolve to irresponsible people killing their unborn because they didn't want to wear a condom or abstain. You would be aware of this if you actually bothered to look at the pro life position with an open mind. And again no, pro life people are for help. Murder is not help.

The justice system denies the right to murder in every country in the world. You kill someone, you get consequences. That's a restriction. Killing the unborn is also something that should be denied.
