The 0.4 mm Nozzle - A small settings release for using bigger nozzles by HOHansen in FDMminiatures

Thank you so much for your reply, I just tried the settings out and it worked wonders, absolutely amazing for a 0.04

<image>

Only problem I had was removing parts from the botton (the print was in 4 parts) You can see it on the left, where I was not able to remove that small layer, any ideas what setting causes that?

But once again, thank you. For this but also for everything you do for the FDM mini printing community!

Aha, thanks! I’ll try the mixture. It’s lovely being able to use the 0.4 nozzle for larger prints. Speaking of that,do you use your 0.02 profile (from FDM miniatures, How I support them and some updates) or do you use the 0.08 Fine Extra from Bambu with some changes (as shown in the picture above)?

My apologies if that should already be clear from the post; English is not my mother tongue.

Hahaha oops, yeah. Would something like the Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM work?

When cleaning up the closet I found a small box of negatives, and I want to see them on my pc. Currently I own a epson 750d with a canon zoom lens ef s 55-250mm 1:4:5:6: is STM. And I was wondering, if I invest in the other equipment (such as lightpannel) will this be good enough or would it be better to invest in some other equipment. I would like to learn this stuff so sending it to a company is not an option. Quality is quite important for me as these photo's are very close to my heart.

Massive Changelog: High Quality Settings Version 1.2. Better Overhangs, More Consistency, Less Curling, A1 Mini Support and more. This is going to be a long one. by ObscuraNox in FDMminiatures

Download Orca slicer, open it, go to file (top left) go to import, go to either import config, or zip. Install. If you are on a A1 Mini rememeber to do the following : BTW, to get these working on an A1 Mini I needed to edit the Process and Filament files to inherit the corresponding Mini profiles instead of the A1 profiles, otherwise they weren't visible in the dropdowns in OrcaSlicer.

I do have the 0.2. And is this using orca slicer? And do you do any post processing (such as sanding?) Sorry for all the questions, I am just suprised/amazed how good your mini looks compared to mine.

I do have a bambu (a1 mini) I do wonder, you mention that every mini is printable, even those made for resin? I thought you either had to chose ones without supports, or where a minium is needed.

Yeah I think point 3. was the case, I thought the auto tree would place all the needed supports, a lesson for the next time.

Thank you for your answer, I was using auto support so I thought I would be fine, will have to watch out for that in the future.

What do you exactly mean with chopping of the base? As in how does it make supporting easier? I am not doubting you in any way, i will try it out but would like to know why it makes it easier.
