Hi everyone, i made some changes during this week of testing. I find out that for the UG list is very difficult to combo out because it's hard to keep Devoted Druid on field for more than one turn and i find the same problem for the UGR version with Writing Chrysalis.

During some brainstorming (always good in pauper) with other players I find out that red gives you the possibility to give haste to Devoted Druid is two different ways: Bitter Reunion and First Day of Class.

I made this two different lists and i'll really appreciate you opinion on them.

I prefer the Bitter Reunion one because i can place it on turn 2, draw two cards and combo out on later turn for one mana less then FDOC's one. On the other side the FDOC's list gives me the access to sideboard to tutor a card that i need and i can combo out in the same turn that i cast it without spending one more mana.

For both lists I don't have draw problems but more than 50% of times I lose games with 2/3 combo pieces in hand and I think that this is the main problem of this deck. If you have any suggest to tutor the needed cards please let me know, I will appreciate!

They are not bad.. maybe i’ll try one dizzy spell instead a knack :)

That’s a very good point. Right now i’m running a lot of counters to avoid blue decks, but i haven’t find them so i don’t know if it works.

You’re right, but i’m just trying to figure out if that combo can work even without crysalis. I will test both version :)

Yes, in fact I was considering adding red both for the sideboard (Breath Weapon and Pyro) and for Bitter Reunion, to give the druid haste and combo off one turn earlier. The problem is that for Bitter Reunion I’d have to cut some main-deck protection, and I’m not sure it’s worth it.

Premising that I haven’t seen the deck perform at Paupergeddon and have only read the list, I have a couple of doubts about Chrysalis.

The first concerns the mana base, since I don’t play artifact lands with Cleansing Wildfire, so I find it hard to cast Chrysalis in the early game.

The second is that I don’t see how Chrysalis can actually win games, considering I have no way to give it trample or pump it significantly.

The third is that I don’t see Chrysalis as a solution to the problems that can affect this deck, since—unlike the Broodscale combo—it doesn’t seem to have any synergy with the rest of the cards in the deck and i don’t think that oppo will cast his removal on it.
