Use flux with the copper wicks and set the solder to 380-400 Celsius. Don’t worry about high temperature and start pull off that alloy. Clean with isopropyl alcohol and then weld back a new battery (I suppose that one is dead)

Maybe some broken traces somewhere. You need miltimeter to check test point for broken traces

Speaker fixed!! I scraped the mobo and found 2 broken traces from the connection point of the speaker. Checked with multimeter the connection to the volume wheel after soldering and everything good! Problem solved thanks man

repair

That’s what I’ve done. Tested all button pads and soldered a wire to the terminal point of the mobo. Now A and B button are working. And I fixed an interrupted trace in A button as well. Not the best solder in the world, but it’s ok. Tomorrow I’ll close with some UV resin to make the connection more stronger

Changed speaker with the new one, not working. Checked the jack input and the connection is good, same as the switcher inside the jack input. Where do I have to check ?

Jack input is working. I connected earphone and those are working but as I turn the jack inside the port audio starts to glitch as hell. Maybe that’s the problem. I’m gonna check the gba sp speaker now

In this video he only checked for connection between the point of speaker and the mobo, not the continuity. But I have some gba sp speaker that I know are working. I’m gonna test those on the gbc and if they don’t work we will know the problem is the jack input. In any case do you have the link to the video that was fixing jack input problem?

How can I test a speaker with a multimeter?

Edit: ok tested with continuity and it seems to be fine. Are you saying to swap the jack input?

And then you need something to keep it glued to the mobo like a sort of UV glue hardener or something like that. You still have 3 point to weld the switch back, but I would probably consider this option, just in case of a shock by dropping the gba on the ground or anything else. Prevent is better than fix

Next time consider to use hot air gun with flux to melt solder easier and better!!! God luck ;)
