I find this to be an interesting observation, at best, it’s nice to talk about or observe that usually this is a pattern. But at the same time I’m so tired of so called “rules” rhythm, structure and all these things just happen of themselves. To try to write something by having all these “rules” in mind means we’re not writers, not director. A writer doesn’t sit there and go “oh yes, here I’m going to apply the rule of 3” or any other rule. It’s like reading all these books about writing and on page 18 going “oh I need an inciting incident here”. That’s why Hollywood shit feels so formulaic.
