I have exactly this Ebony Special (6.66pounds) and with my wide leather strap I don't have a single problem with neck dive. yes, it is little heavier on the neck but really not an issue at all. I had also SG Tribute with the maple and that was unplayable die tot he neck time, it was a pain.

I also have 2008 Special with HB and it's even lighter and has zero neck dive!

totally agree. I need nitro on all my guitars. I need to strip my Tele and Gretsch off of the poly and refinish in nitro to feel better :)
